ATL I love you…more black and grey tattoos…taz devils, a Chris memorial. The last day I was there my Lyft driver was a fully tattooed nun. We had a chat and she was awesome and understands the vision.
I’m in Chicago tattooing this week before I head back to France. Home in Toulouse for a week and then Paris, followed by Berlin and Zurich.
Later in the summer I’ll be coming back to the states to hit San Francisco, Seattle :) message to get on my waitlist… it’s looking like an eventful summer.

Closing Party of Nostalgia 2.0 last night! The exhibit had a pairing with The Other Twin Lit Review, and I submitted some poems that I also got to read to everyone! I’m glad I participated, though with all the other incredible poets- I didn’t feel that I have the technique to be paired alongside them! I’m honored to be in such a collective of artists and art lovers. 💖😘🤩

We are aiming to build a safe sanctuary space for women, trans, and nonbinary individuals based in Columbia, SC.
Our goal is to bring one another together by hosting creative events to help us connect with each other on a deeper more meaningful level.

four months of planning, creating, curating, cutting, framing, polishing, and writing, for two hours of showtime. more than worth it? yes

i’m so proud of my classmates and their work. we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to know and love one another as we create for a shared sense of purpose. we’ve learned the how-to’s, executed to the best of our ability, and now we exhale

coming into this task, my workflow was producing tangible results (insofar as you laying eyes on it) about every ~8 hours of work. it’s similar to the process of digital vs. film photography — with digital, there is instant gratification. with film, you will spend hours shooting, developing, drying, cutting, and sleeving, and drive home with no evidence of anything at all. to approach a project that will spend four months and 100+ hours in utter silence is humbling, nerve-racking, and exhilarating in the same breath

i’ve always been allured to test the limitations of my abilities and push myself against the grain of comfort-seeking tendencies, partly out of curiosity, knowing that i will find growth in this struggle, become a better artist, a more complete person. it squeezed my heart to be away from you for so long; thank you for your patience.

most importantly, thank you for coming!

thank you’s: to Kathleen for knowledge, to Brandon for opportunity, to my friends for love and community and a sense of belonging. it’s been a taxing, strenuous year of (positive) growth in many areas of my life, and i couldn’t do it without you. i love you i love you i love you
