In 2018, a young man shared a video titled "Being Ugly: My Experience."

He spoke openly about years of bullying, loneliness, and the pain of feeling unwanted because of how he looked.

Millions eventually watched his story. But little did he know, someone watching would change his life forever.

A woman named Juli came across his video and left a simple comment: "Cute."

One comment turned into conversations. Conversations became late-night calls. And eventually, two strangers found something neither of them expected: LOVE.

Years later, their story reportedly led to marriage and a child.

Our Love, Renewed!!

About a month ago, we stood before Allah, our families, and the people we love, and renewed a promise that had already been ours for over a year.

We were already husband and wife.
We had already built memories, weathered seasons, missed each other, laughed together, prayed for each other, and learned what it means to choose one another.

But that day felt different.

There was something deeply beautiful about watching our love become a celebration of faith, family, tradition, and the future we are still building together.

I remember looking at you that day and thinking about everything it took for us to get here.

And I remember thinking how grateful I am that after everything, it is still you.

My Hayati.

The woman I get to love, annoy, laugh with, grow with, pray with, and come home to.

If our first year of marriage has taught me anything, it is that love is so much more than the grand moments. It is in the little things. In patience. In forgiveness. In checking in. In making room for each other. In choosing kindness when life gets difficult. In finding your way back to each other, again and again.

So, a month ago, we did not begin our marriage.

We celebrated it.

We gave it another beautiful beginning.

And if I had to choose you all over again, knowing everything I know now, I would.

I would choose you in every lifetime, in every season, in every version of our story.

May Allah put barakah in our home, protect what we have, deepen our love, and allow us to grow old together with hearts that never forget why we chose each other.
