THE REAL STORY BEHIND FOOD PICKUP & DELIVERY IN KADUNA. 🏍️📦

Let’s talk about something many people don't understand about the logistics business.

One of the most challenging experiences we've had at Ray Transport & Logistics is handling food pickup and delivery, especially when customers expect their meals to arrive almost immediately.

Sometimes, a food vendor calls and says, “Please, this order is urgent. The customer is waiting!”

We understand. Nobody wants their food to arrive late, especially when it's meant for a customer waiting to eat.

But here's the reality: we can't fly! 😂

Between bad roads, traffic, multiple deliveries, pickup delays and the distance between vendors and customers, getting every order delivered immediately isn't always possible.

And honestly, we logistics companies sometimes contribute to the problem.

In our determination not to lose customers, we often accept more deliveries than we can conveniently handle within the expected timeframe. We want to satisfy everyone, but sometimes, our desire to please customers makes us promise what the situation on the ground may not allow.

But experience has taught us an important lesson: not every delivery model works for every business.

For food vendors, our advice is simple: as your business grows, consider having a dedicated delivery bike and rider. This gives you more control over delivery time, helps you respond faster to urgent orders and improves your customers' experience.

For logistics companies, we must also learn to communicate honestly, manage delivery capacity and set realistic expectations instead of promising impossible timelines.

And for customers, a little patience and understanding can make the process easier for everyone.

At Ray Transport & Logistics, we're learning, improving and finding better ways to serve businesses across Kaduna State.

Because logistics is not just about moving packages. It's about managing expectations, building trust and keeping businesses moving.

To all food vendors: how do you currently handle your deliveries? Do you use your own riders or outsource to logistics companies? 👇🏽

Let's talk in the comments!
