Drafting this, I had one challenge: how to make a birthday post about my stunning, remarkable, and amazing wife without getting all serious and making it about myself 😌 (if you know, you know 🤓).
Life, as I know it, is a sum of our experiences and interactions. As a truly certified square, meeting you @tegoite has gently pulled me into a world of the exciting and unfamiliar – even when I foot-drag and stall a little! 😉
Frankly, without you, my nights would be starless and my days would be drab. You are the gift that keeps on giving, and I cherish every moment with you.

Let’s talk DIRECTIONAL DECISIONS👇

I have read the book of Ruth twice this week and nothing really stood out to me from the last time I read it.

It wearied me for a bit but I eventually let it slide, knowing it would come when it needs to.

And I think it just hit me.

From Ruth 2,

I have learned that God moves in every detail, even those decisions we think we single handedly made…..

God is infact in the details.

Ruth just got up and decided to go glean from a field, any field. Ruth 2:2.

Then somehow, found herself in Boaz’s field. Her kinsman’s redeemer. Ruth 2:3.

What are the odds?

She didn’t hear any Holyspirit whisper,

She didn’t hear a loud voice thundering from heaven “Ruth my daughter, get up and go to a field I will show you.”

She just got up and moved — DECISION.

And she found herself where she needed to be — DIRECTION.

There’s direction in your decisions. Don’t be scared to make them.

God has given us His word, His counsel, His wisdom, discernment creating a blueprint that enables us to make clear cut decisions.

Ps: This is also not to discredit the leading of the Holyspirit and the importance of hearing from God.

It’s to gently affirm that you can trust your decisions sometimes, you’re a child of God.

A child replicates after his Father. A child watches closely, learning and modeling after his father.

God doesn’t train us to be puppets,

He trains us to be priests, prophets….people with discernment, people becoming more like Him with every interaction, with every intimacy, with every instruction.

You can make decisions too, you can trust that gentle nudge in your heart.

God will nudge you ahead, if it aligns with His Will and Word.

And if it doesn’t, be sure to get a realignment.

And if we even dive deeper, we’d discover that God places those thoughts in our minds that form a base for our decision making. He’s still in the works.
