“Amika” means friend. So when @amika reached out to us to host their annual Crown Act dinner, we were honored. In 22 states, hair discrimination is still legal. That’s why bringing over 75 Black women together to celebrate hair equity and share our stories was so incredibly important. Thank you to @amika for trusting us with such an important role, thank you to @weareshadow for being such incredible PR partners throughout this process and thank you to all of the beautiful women who took time out of their busy schedules to join us 💕🤍

Wearing All Black while in blue👀👀.
San Francisco is still a city where dreams are built every single day.

Dress for Success @dressforsuccess.sf is right there in it equipping women not just with clothing, but with the confidence, coaching, and support to step fully into the careers they’re meant for.

Because sometimes, the right outfit opens the door.
But the right support helps you walk through.

What a wonderful night supporting Canadian fashion and children's health.

@houseofdwir was simply incandescent 🤩

The evening shone a light on the highlights and breakthroughs on medical research on autism but it also showed how far we still have to go. If you are able, please donate to @sickkidsvs

🎯“It’s definitely about self-expression for me. I use fashion as an outlet. I don’t even see it as ‘putting it on.’” - Naomi Osaka, Hypebeast

Neither do I.

I don’t “do fashion.”

I wear extensions of my creative being. Of what makes me feel alive.

What I wear is part of my cultural confidence, how I support my love for local designers and how I express my values.

For my first Breakfast Television International Women’s Day appearance, I wore Denim Daze by @ofuure, by the brilliant @tehilah__.

I’m a girls’ girl and @ofuure always holds my essence in a way that lets me be bold, beautiful, and unapologetic.

Shoes by Black designer @tejahnburnett

My earrings are by one of my favourite Indigenous designers, @warrenstevenscott.
Fit: @ofuure
Hat: from my sister’s closet @pearlvilmape
Shoes: @tejahnburnett

When you wear the dreams of fellow creatives, you soar higher. Honoured to wear your designs. 💛

Ps: Maintain the structure of your fit - add socks in your pocket. 🤪😫🥰Y’all know I always use everything in my closet. #ShopYourCloset
