I was definitely missing my mother's food while voicing this.

I don't know if that's me in the picture or my twin😁😁 .

But after much deliberation. Finally posting this. I'm sure my gee will be proud of me☺️☺️

Last week, I was enjoying a well-deserved break in beautiful Sharm El Sheikh. ☀️🌴

Work was the last thing on my mind.
Then I got a message.

A speaker had become unavailable due to a scheduling clash, and the community needed someone to step in and deliver a session on Building Confidence as a Budding Voice Talent.

With less than 24 hours’ notice. 😩
While away from home. 😱
Without any of my usual resources. 🤯

My first instinct? Doubt.

Shouldn’t @voforceafrica ask someone else?
Can I really do this from a resort?
Wouldn’t it be easier to just say no?

But then I paused.

How could I encourage others to be confident, take opportunities, and put themselves out there… if I wasn’t willing to do the same?

So I said yes.

And somewhere between the invitation and the webinar, something I always knew was reinforced:

Confidence isn’t built when conditions are perfect. It’s built when we choose to move forward despite the doubt.

In my @SuperworkingMum community, we call that a Slay Doubt Moment.

And that’s exactly what this became for me.

At the beginning of the year, one of my commitments was to become more active and involved in this community and all it has to offer.

Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t allow doubt to rob me of the opportunity.

As we approach the halfway point of the year, here’s my question for you:

💭 What goal have you quietly abandoned?
💭 What opportunity have you been talking yourself out of?
💭 What would happen if you chose to slay doubt instead?

I’d love to hear your thoughts below. 👇🏾
