Back in 1999 I organized and through a b-boy battle titled “Battle Cry” at The Masquerade. Sadly I don’t have much of anything documented from those days however some very close friends happened to have held on to these pics since and man I’m so happy to have been able to witness greatness prior to these guys taking over the world shortly after IYKYK. @therealskmz

1st place @ivanflipzvelez
2nd place @danielcloudc
3rd place @darealbboydolo

Shout out to @boogie_down_klown who continues the keep the battle cry legacy going. I didn’t have much of a budget and no sponsors. I did this solely out of pocket. I remember going to a trophy store on Kennedy and having these plaques made like it was yesterday man time flies.

THE MASTERPIECE

Art is not measured by the applause
But the masterpiece
We super live beyond boundries
Others choose to simply survive in
We are limitless
Within me
IAM the WE
That thrives in
Substance Over Hype

This past Monday, December 8th, 2025, my son, a few friends, @modern.prepared.father, and @modernfrontierdefense spent most of the day training together, challenging ourselves in wet and cold conditions.

We ran through my ACE standards, the @achillesheeltactical DOPE drill, and several other exercises to test our limits.

Recently, I’ve noticed that one of the biggest challenges people face is finding others who will push them and hold them accountable in their training. Having a “tribe” or a reliable group to support your progress makes a significant difference. Being able to call on people to plan sessions, encourage you, and help you improve can truly make or break your development.

Enrolling in classes and dedicating time to learn and develop new skills can be expensive. Take notes, connect with others in your area, and stay in touch to form a training group where you can review and continue building on what you’ve learned. Ensure that your practice is intentional and purposeful, rather than simply going through the motions and wasting money.

Watch our website 3acespsoc.com for upcoming course from AMAZING instructors (@hunterfreelandshooting @teknicalmethodz @modernfrontierdefense @mcguire_thewayforward and @orion_training_group to name a few) as well as our own courses.

Legendary Skill Methodz (@skillmethodz1995) and Flipside Kings (@flipsidekings) facing off — a truly rare moment. Although we remember the days when the two crews formed an alliance representing Miami together, seeing them actually battle like this is something you don’t come across often. This is the essence of true Miami style, a beautiful exchange between masters.

Shout out to @teknyc @venumskmz @ivanflipzvelez @bboylego #bboyxeno #bboystrive

This battle is estimated to be from the early 2000s, likely around 2001, a period when their styles were at a high level of refinement. It is known to be the final of Breaker Epidemic, hosted by Floor Angels and Hiphop Elements at Club Fluido in Orlando.

This footage was taken from an archive filmed by Jerome (@chairhome) and I’d like to express my gratitude once again.

Please note that the original audio from around the 2-minute mark was lost, so I added a replacement BGM to avoid any misunderstanding.

📽 @chairhome 👈 Thank you so much!!
