6-28-26: I did it! I had my first official vending event near home! I was at the Motel Mini Market at High Tide Coffee in San Clemente, and I had lots of fun! It was a little overwhelming because I’ve never made a setup larger than 6x5, never made a setup with more than just one table, and was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do this at a much larger scale than before.

Thank you @motelminimarket and @hightidecoffeeco for hosting this event, and giving me the opportunity to begin my vending journey here! I’ve done very small vending things on my own with buddies in the past when I was at my undergrad. That was really fun and all, but being able to do this at a bigger capacity near home, while connecting with other local artists and small businesses was one of the things I was looking forward to the most since coming home from school. I’m really grateful for the invitation, because it really feels like I’m making an effort to make community and connection part of my life again, after a long time of being in survival mode.

I also got the cutest trinkets and stickers from @telepathiclollipop ! My sister is obsessed with her new Baja Blast stickers, and my clay koi fish have been smitten with my new clay fox

Thank you new friends and guests for visiting me, regardless if you bought a plushie. You choosing to come by and connect with me and my plushies means the world to me. And thank you to my friends and loved ones who have been cheering me on in preparing for this, and in believing that I can pull this off! Hopefully I’ll be back at it soon 🌿
