A great little weekend down on the southern end of what I call the ANC triangle that was capped off visiting with an old friend, Dave Magoffin, and his adorable little family. Dave put me up in Girdwood at his place my whole first week here that I added last minute as Utah’s season crumbled. Quite honestly it made that extension viable. Certainly looking forward to the day I get to return a solid like that to my buddy! So much love, @mavedagoffin

After that we drove north back to Palmer. Next morning, I did some serious “logistical-iz-er-ing” to lay out my next two weeks a bit as I sprint around the map to finish up chasing AMGA track training and prep. More on that later, but the point here is I did manage to pull my shit together to catch the second half of a tour circuit in the afternoon in Hatcher Pass with Jon and Sam! The tele bros crew! Needed to get my legs moving so a sprint to catch up to the fellas served that well. Met Sam many years ago, but we always seem to just miss each other on snow somehow. Super rad to finally get a tour with him and catch up after a lot of life.

The motto of “it’s the people” just keeps circulating through this trip. As with most things in life I guess. Sure am grateful for all these folks swirling around in my life. | #friends #family #life #guidelife

This Veterans Day we we would like to recognize our very own Sam Trop, who joined the U.S. Army in 2013. After completing basic training and Airborne School, he attended an eight-week selection course and was chosen to serve with the 75th Ranger Regiment. In August 2014, Sam was assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington. The following year, he was deployed to Afghanistan for a four-month tour. Sam completed his service and was honorably discharged from the Army in November 2016.

Thank you for your service Sam, and to all veterans in Central Oregon and beyond!

thumbs up for another year of coaching done with the @alyeskafreerideteam ‼️

every year gets more and more fun, even with challenges like copious amounts of rain to start the season off.

I’m so proud of all these kids and everything they’ve accomplished and will continue to accomplish, and am thankful to have the honor of being a leader of this team and look forward to the seasons ahead 🫡
