I’m thrilled to say I’ve been accepted into the @televisionacad’s Directors peer group! 🎉🎬

I used to stay up crazy late on a school night to follow Emmy’s coverage, rooting for my favorite shows from 5,000 miles away on the other side of the pond.

So now, three months out from graduating with my MFA, and now living in the City of Stars, it’s crazy cool to think I’ll be a first-time voter next year! I ❤️ TV, and it’s so special to play a small part in celebrating it. Thank you to the Television Academy for such a fantastic opportunity. 🎉

Sally Field just made history at the 2026 Emmy Awards! At 79 years old, she became the oldest actress to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her incredible performance in Remarkably Bright Creatures.What makes this victory even more beautiful is that it was a family affair. Her older son, Peter Craig, served as a producer on the film and was actually the one who first championed the project and suggested she take the role. Field shared that getting to work alongside her son was a true lifelong dream come to life.

Based on the bestselling novel by Shelby Van Pelt, the film follows Tova Sullivan (played by Field), a lonely widow who takes a nighttime cleaning job at an aquarium while still grieving the mysterious disappearance of her son years ago. There, she forms a deep, unexpected bond with Marcellus, a brilliantly intelligent giant Pacific octopus (voiced by Alfred Molina). Together with a young, wandering musician named Cameron, they begin uncovering secrets that lead to a heartwarming path of healing and new beginnings.

This week is an exciting EMMY week in more ways than one!!

The Primetime Emmys is coming up on Monday and this Saturday is @emmy’s Birthday! ✨🎂

I felt quite honored sitting down with “Furious” star & executive producer Emmy Rossum a few weeks back at @televersefest to moderate the “Shameless” 15th Anniversary TV reunion discussion alongside @williamhmacy & @johnwellsproductions, where we had a most thoughtful, playful and timely conversation together!

Doing my extra research beforehand to realize that Emmy has a milestone celebration on September 12th, I surprised her there at the end of our stage discussion with a cake and candle, so that all of us in the room could sing to her early!

Since then, #EmmyRossum has kindly taken the time to share her feedback with me on my carefully crafted and respectfully guided Q&A conversation with these beloved entertainment industry creatives, and agreed for me to share her fond thoughts publicly:
