Back in June @palestine.collective curated a beautiful weekend exhibition on cultural belonging at @p21_gallery, for @londonfestivalofarchitecture. I was honoured to be part of the show and amongst such incredible artists 💛

Many thanks to @palestine.collective team and @designs.by.zain for the care and generosity you poured in to this curation.

It was also lovely being back at P21, one of my favourite galleries in London and where I had my first solo 🥹

Meet the artists of Belonging(s) Beyond Borders 🇵🇸

This Friday and Saturday, we’re so excited to introduce the artists whose work fills our exhibition at @p21_gallery, as part of @londonfestivalofarchitecture.

From Yafa to Jerusalem, the Naqab to Damascus - and across the diaspora that carries them - each artist turns memory, archive and inheritance into living form. A hometown in Yafa rebuilt from old maps and photographs. Hand-woven landscapes from the Naqab. A painted Jerusalem laid out for breakfast. Photographs of a city’s built heritage, and beautiful film.

Drawing on oral histories, family belongings and the places they carry within them, their work refuses erasure and insists that home - and all its belonging(s) - endures. الهوية باقية - identity endures.

We can’t wait to welcome you all this weekend! 🇵🇸 🤲🏾

Meet the artists of ‘Belonging(s) Beyond Borders’ 🇵🇸

As part of the London Festival of Architecture, we’re so excited to introduce the artists whose work fills our exhibition at @p21_gallery this Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June, in collaboration with @londonfestivalofarchitecture!

Emerging from Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Tunisia and Egypt - and united in solidarity with P@lestine - each of them turns memory, language and inheritance into living form. Futuristic homes, woven landscapes, fictional archives, and a mashrabiya rebuilt by hand. Drawing on oral histories, archives and personal belongings, their work reimagines lost spaces and rituals, and insists that our cultures are still here. الهوية باقية - identity endures.

💓 HACKNEY HALF 2026 💓

Congratulations to all 45 of our runners who took part in this year’s @hackneymoves race! Our biggest race turnout yet ✨ everyone looked so gorgeous in pink🌸

A huge thank you to the Hackney Moves team for making ATHENE one of the ten official community groups for the race — two years running. We loved being part of the race village and having a hub to host our community throughout race weekend.

A weekend of art, solidarity, and education!

The Students of the Revolution exhibition showcased the best of Sudanese art, and also the best of community with 100s of you giving your time, money and attention to the cause.

Thank you to all the artists and collaborators who really brought this exhibition to life, to honour Sudanese culture is a heavy task - but one that was done with care and commitment!

Thank you for all the support and for raising an incredible £1,216.27 for the @sdn.world Sudan Benefit Fundraiser! Your contributions will directly be supporting Sudanese people on the ground with providing food, water, and essential healthcare equipment.

To say this is a solitary fight would be a grave mischaracterisation of Sudan’s own revolutionary history - the millionaire march included both those born in Sudan and those who made it home. So thank you to those who stood beside us then and still do now, Sudanese or otherwise.

To freedom, peace and justice!
