Our last two weeks have been eventful to say the least; easily some of the most stressful in both my personal life and business! I can only apologise to those of you affected by our difficulties whilst we’ve worked toward a resolution.

In essence, my partner and I both had our phones hacked; we were locked out of everything, including the crucial business accounts and any access to our phone services or accounts across the board. Our card payment system, PayPal and bank accounts (once again, both business and personal) affected. At last, we are on the road to repairing some of the damage; I have recovered access to some social accounts, and will have increasing access to our systems over the coming days.

We should’ve been celebrating an exciting period for those of us at Eternal Gold; a new piercer, Nera, has moved up to join us on a full time basis, Sin now works a Monday shift, and we had the wonder Phoebe guesting with us. Unfortunately all the good has been overshadowed by the hacking disaster! I appreciate that things will have looked very quiet; I had no phone or access at all to post anything, and have spent more time on hold to the bank and phone company in the past week than anybody should have to across their entire life quite frankly.

Anybody affected by our technical issues has been contacted, this had no affect on Eternal Gold's customers details or date thanks to pur tech person Cam. If you do need to get in touch about anything else though, please send us an email at info@eternalgold.co.uk and we’ll see you right!

If anybody feels like giving us a wee boost as we get back on our feet, sharing, commenting etc. is hugely appreciated, and as always, we love to see you tag us in your posts!

We can’t wait to be back in slinging sparkles, and we have some exciting new jewellery hitting the cabinet soon, now that we’re making some progress in recovering from the losses incurred by the hacking.

The team really pulled together to get us through the crisis; thank you to Cam for securing our website and preventing further catastrophe, to Sin for picking up the client relations and managing the books whilst most of us were unable to access anything.

Impression from my recent pulling performance WEAVER, a closing piece for the 2025 Summer Group Show @sarabandefoundation

This was a euphoria I rarely experience. The piece employs performance, body modification, soundscape, and latex, aiming to make invisible bonds between humans and their environment visible.

The intention behind this performance is to visualise the body's growing connection to the room and the space around. The viewer is presented with a transformation of form and reach, as well as the 'weight' of time and body abstraction, which questions the human physical form as we understand it. An opportunity to find grounding, self-agency, and safety through physicality.

Chains are a great addition to any curation and collection, the can add movement and texture, without having to get any new piercings.

They can go on the front and back of the same labret to give a similar effect to a ring, but you get to wear your stud at the same time. Or you can use them to fill empty space by attaching them to two separate piercings, similar to the effect of an industrial piercing.

If you’re a side sleeper, they are also much more comfortable to sleep on, as the chain moves with the body instead of a ring rigidly pushing against the ear when leant on.
