Some weekends are very different from others, and my first time at TempleFest was certainly a liminal space and time. Thinking back, I keep hearing one of my favorite phrases in my head: "The things that make us happy, make us wise."

I seem to have taken almost no photos during the weekend, and everything in this reel is footage from my lovely husband @darrylkubian , as well as @seekingnumina and other friends. Allllllll of us were so busy being in the experiences that photos ...mostly didn't happen? Oh well! 😆

The whole weekend was incredibly powerful, both inside rituals and classes, and outside of it, on the land itself. Prindle Pond is such a beautiful and welcoming place, and it was the perfect home for the conversations and experiences that happened during those days.

Gatherings like TempleFest are precious and rare, and they are only possible because of all the people and spirits - in a web of intention and energy and time - who bring them into being. There was space and care given for each person’s needs, journeys, and experiences, while also an expectation that we would each "do our work" and bring the authenticity and participation required to make it happen. (It should go without saying, but I'm so grateful to @christopherpenczak and everyone who has co-created the festival!)

TempleFest's combination of play, serious magic, and collaboration all spun together is obviously more essential than ever right now, since it creates the conditions for new things to enter the world: new friendships, new ideas, new forms for what we can imagine, new ways of being together. Many of these "new" things are re-emergences, re-birthings (thank you @herophilereece and @glassewitch ..) of far older ideas and ways of being, and I love being a part of it all.

For myself, I don’t know what will grow out of what was put in motion during those few days, but I’m very much looking forward to finding out.

The things that make us happy, make us wise. And I'm looking forward to the next TempleFest.

The Season of the Witch is here. 🍂🌙✨

Time to slow down.
Time to read the books.
Time to study, learn, and deepen the craft.

I just started my Magickal Astrology class with @christopherpenczak @temple_of_witchcraft and I am absolutely loving it. ✨

The darker season is calling us inward — to learn, to listen, to practice our magick…

…and, of course, to bewitch. 🖤🔮🌙

Happy Friday, all! 💚
Some notes on what we’ve been working on, where we’ll be, and what comes next:

🚨 WEB SALE 🚨

We are brimming with new poppets, for our upcoming festival appearances, and are having a little POPPET SALE on the website, for the handful of spring poppets that we still have in stock. Find some really good deals, including the pictured, never-before-listed lovely cream goat 👀

The sale will be live until sundown on Wednesday. August 12th, which will be the last chance to shop the site, after which we’ll go dark, until the Equinox!

FESTIVAL VENDING

We are so excited to be vending at two upcoming festivals! Catch us in Witch City, for the Salem Witchcraft & Folklore Festival from August 18-23 in historic Salem MA! We will have two tables of new work (!) for their extraordinary Mercato Della Strega, on Friday the 21st. @salemwitchfest

And, a few weeks later, we will be vending and attending our first TempleFest, September 4-7th, with the Temple of Witchcraft, and a truly awesome list of presenters. Attendees can find us at the TempleFest Night Market, from 7-11pm, where will be debuting the second line of dolls from our Blve Santa Arcanum tarot-inspired range of poppets and ritual oils. Can anyone guess which arcanum, we’ll be debuting? @temple_of_witchcraft

COMING SOON 👀

X X X Cvltvs BVFONIDAE
We are proud to offer this first look, at our upcoming Cvltvs Bvfonidae mandrake-toad poppets. These talismanic dolls are the culmination of months of spellwork and deep-diving into the lore and magick of the toad. *** 2 Toads will be held, for our web update on Monday, September 21st, along with any Toads that might return from our two festivals 🤞

+ + + Blve Santa Saints
A completely OOAK series of Ikon statuary will also be unveiled, in Salem, that is different from anything we’ve offered, in the past. Beloved witchcraft saints like Cyprian, Anthony, and Barbara will be available at the Hawthorne Hotel, starting Tuesday, so attendees should come and visit us, early, if you want to secure a Saint!
*** Any Saints that remain unadopted will also be listed, with the Equinox update on September 21!

We hope to see you soon!
Xoxo

Excited for TempleFest

Registration closes soon! Come join us for our In-Person Festival of Speakers, Rituals, Drumming, Classes, Vendors and Readers!

Prindle Pond Charleston, MA

I love Templefest because it's not only a chance for in person gathering in a harmonious space, but a place where i get to explore new ideas and themes for the first time in rituals and classes. This year I am presenting one keynote on the magick of sound to create our world, and two rituals - one on the Mighty Dead and one honoring Lady Venus! Come join us!
