Last couple weeks of a great couple months. Berlin Marathon is my favorite day of the year. 55k people from all over the world have collectively put weeks and weeks of care and attention into this one day. Every participant has friends, families, training partners, and run clubs supporting and cheering them on as they race the same roads I run every day with my friends.

In the 22 weeks since Vienna I’ve put in 2,433km over 283 hours, averaging 110km/week with two peak weeks over 160km. Along the way, collecting a 10k pb of 34:45 and a half pb of 1:16:46. No matter how tomorrow goes, it’s been a beautiful summer.

This is my cheesy love letter to Berlin running and all the friends I’ve made through pounding pavement. Feeling grateful to take another loop around the city and through the gate.
