🩵Inspired by a shot by @pandlwatchcollection recently lounging by the pool in the sunshine with his Tudor Black Bay Chrono 🦩🩵

For a fun project yesterday, we thought we’d see if we can recreate it..minus the 30 degree sunshine. 😩

👉Here’s how we did it:

* place blue paper on the table
* add a plastic tray
* lay stone tile over the tray
* add water
* lay the watch down
* add hard light up high to cast strong shadows
* agitate water to create ripples
* take shot and enjoy!

Well… it was the perfect spot to apply that @watchstudies tutorial and get some flecto on the FXD for #tudorthursday! If you haven’t seen that tutorial yet, make sure you check it out. Some really practical tips.

Also, LOTS of my recent shots have been #carstudio shots, which means more often than not I’ve got my camera on me, along with my usual EDC load. Enter the @wotancraft Pilot 18L! It’s been an absolute trooper over these last few months. It’s water resistant (key in this tropical weather), looks amazing, built like a tank, top notch materials, modular, incredibly flexible, and with more than enough room for everything I need. My camera, spare lens, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, jacket, tech case, watch roll, and tons of other random items fit in with room to spare. Don’t let the 18L designation fool you - you can carry ALOT in this.

Took things a little further with some AE post action. Usually not a fan of post manipulation only because I like to keep my photography as unadulterated as possible but I did have fun with this exercise. Would love to know everyone’s thoughts on purity vs post manipulation… this EXcludes the use of AI, that’s another topic entirely 😪

Pictured here is the @tudorwatch #bb54 paired with @montreuxstraps rubber, a very nice strap with all the quality and comfort one would expect, but at a price that most everyone can afford 👌🏻
