Prayers up for Terrence Hill Jr. 🙏

The Tennessee guard suffered a non-contact ankle injury against Duke and will not return to the game. He needed help getting off the floor, but the early indication that it’s an ankle injury rather than a knee injury is encouraging. Hoping it’s nothing serious and he’s back for the season opener.

This Vols transfer class is ranked at the top of the college basketball world.
Transfer Jalen Haralson is projected to get his first start for Coach Barnes in an exhibitior vith Xavier. He says is not just a practice. It’s a game they want to win.

He’s also had to learn more than just the 4 and 3 under Barnes. How we feeling

Next up in our player spotlight series is DeWayne Brown II, one of Tennessee’s few returners. 🍊

DeWayne was a key contributor last year as a backup big, making spot starts throughout the season. His physical play and ability to clean up the glass make him a player to watch heading into year two.

Let me know in the comments below what you think of DeWayne Brown II and your expectations for him this season!

Tennessee fans are calling out the SEC and ESPN after scheduling another day game at Neyland Stadium 👀

The game is scheduled for October 17 at 3:30 p.m. ET, adding another daytime matchup after playing No. 1 Texas at 12:00 and Auburn at 3:30.

Should Tennessee vs. Alabama be changed to a night game⁉️🤔

What grade are you giving Tennessee’s starting 5? 👀

Rick Barnes completely overhauled Tennessee’s roster and went all in on talented scorers. Being able to land Juke Harris was huge as he’s one of the most talented scorers in college basketball. Terrence Hill and Dai Dai Ames are both talented scorers as well, they both were extremely productive last year. Jalen Haralson was a five star recruit coming out of high school and put up good numbers at Notre Dame, his ability to do a little bit of everything is going to be huge for Tennessee. Miles Rubin should be able to replace Okpara’s rim protection and give them a lob target as well. Overall Rick Barnes has assembled a very talented team and looks to break through a get to a Final Four.

The 2018-19 Tennessee team was one of the best teams in program history.

The Vols won 19 straight games, climbed to No. 1 in the country and finished 31-6 behind Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield.

Their season ended in a Sweet 16 classic, falling 99-94 in overtime to Carsen Edwards and Purdue. How far should this Tennessee team have gone?

Bracketball 2026-27 Top 100 CBB Players

#30: Juke Harris (Tennessee, G | Jr.)

Arguably the best portal prospect available this offseason and stepping into a huge role in Knoxville. Juke Harris and the Vols have big time expectations and we think Juke will continue to be one of the best players in the sport despite likely not sporting the usage he did this past year, ~29%.

Juke was one of the most improved players in all of college basketball last season, having averaged just 6 ppg on 20 mpg his freshman year. He has a terrific offensive package and can score from all three levels with relative ease. He also has great positional size at the 2/3, standing 6’7 (don’t even think about it).

I suspect some of these weaknesses/low points from last year come from a combination of playing on a below-average team and as a result garnering pretty much all of the attention from opposing teams as well as high high usage which will oftentimes, naturally, eat away at efficiency. Being on an uber-talented Tennessee team will draw a lot of attention away from him and allow him to get HIS shot off more often and more easily.

As for Juke’s defense, there is certainly room for growth IMHO. He gets away with a lot in large thanks to his positional size but he’s not the twitchiest athlete, though still a very good one, and as a result he seems to get beat off the dribble, or his matchup creates separation, more often than I’d like to see if I’m an NBA evaluator. What I do like from Juke on defense is that he’s consistent with his effort and that projects well as a defender.

Lookout for Juke and the Vols this year. I think they should definitely be a top 5 SEC squad at the absolute worst.

Harris’ projected line for 2026-27:

17.1 PPG
5.2 RPG
1.9 APG
