Solo Rip Session in the New @banshee_jet_boats
This boat in absolutely BONKERS! So far it hasn’t failed to put a huge grin on everyone’s face thats been for a ride. She’s built like a Tank but still insanely capable in the shallow water. The torque and speed is like nothing you’ve ever felt in a fishing boat. @banshee_jet_boats are clearly the new King of the River fishing scene and I’m super proud to be fishing one for seasons to come 🤘🏻
If you are seriously considering ordering a @banshee_jet_boats but would like to look at one in person first and go for a ride to feel what this boats made of, send me a message and we may be able to arrange that here in SWVA.

A few frames from my upcoming thru-hiking film: “Finding Home”. It took a solid 5 years to actually get around to it, but I finally carved out the time to edit a film of my back-to-back treks of the Continental Divide Trail and Appalachian Trail in ’21 🎥 🏔️

Putting this documentary together was a magical trip down memory lane, and a fun story to tell. From getting buried by snow in the San Juans to nearly becoming a grizzly’s meal in Glacier, the eight months I spent on these two long trails were chock full of rowdy adventures and beautiful moments. I’m grateful for every one of them. The landscapes are unreal, but ultimately it’s the community you experience along the trail, and the fellow hikertrash you connect with, that is the lifeblood of a thru-hike.

This feature-length film is a pretty raw, emotional look at what my mind goes through on these long treks, and it feels vulnerable putting it into a visual story. Thru-hiking isn’t always pretty, physically or mentally, but that’s largely why we’re out there. After filming “To Measure a Mile” on the PCT, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to lean into documenting another thru, but in the end, I’m grateful I did. My goal with it is to provide some closure from all I experienced, and honor the people I shared this journey with.

I’ll be premiering the film on Saturday, September 19th in Flagstaff, Arizona at a small film festival in partnership with @evolvedsupplyco. The showings will include “Finding Home”, “The Khumbu”, and a sneak peak of a film @darwin_onthetrail and I are making of our bikepacking tour in Central Asia last year, called “Balance”. The event will start at 6pm MST. A link to all event info can be found in my bio. If you’re in the area, we’d be honored for you to swing by 🤙

After some showings, “Finding Home” will likely be posted in full on YouTube.

All proceeds from the Flagstaff event will be donated to the @aztassociation. Without the efforts of these trail organizations, these thru-hikes wouldn’t be possible.
