AALIYAH “TERK” BALDERAS

SKATING WITH PURPOSE

13 Years Old | Houston, Texas | Skating Since Christmas 2021

My name is Aaliyah “TERK” Balderas, and I’m a 13-year-old roller skater from Houston, Texas. I started skating on Christmas Day in 2021, and what began as something fun quickly became a passion that continues to push me to grow.

Early in my journey, I was fortunate to meet Cassie, an amazing skater who taught me so much during my first two years. Since then, I’ve competed in skating competitions, consistently filmed monthly montages to document my progress, and had the opportunity to join the Lazo Team for several unforgettable tour stops.

Being young and being a girl doesn’t limit the impact I can make. I want to inspire other skaters to believe in themselves, chase their goals, and never be afraid to help others along the way. I enjoy giving tips, sharing advice, and encouraging roller skaters in my community to grow in confidence and skill.

A special thank you to Caro Hernandez for your advice and support, and to Barbie and Chaya for always believing in me and supporting everything I do.

To everyone around the world who has supported my journey: thank you. Your encouragement means everything to me.

I’m going to keep working, progressing, competing, filming, and helping others along the way.

I’m only getting started.

Every month, she levels up.

Not because it’s easy, because she keeps showing up.

The effort, the passion, the love for the sport… it does not go unnoticed.

We see you @terk_713 🤙🙌

All wheels. All levels. All passion.

When we started Pillar Ride Co, we didn’t know exactly how it would go, but we knew our why:

- Showcase youth talent in action sports.
- Encourage beginners to see that with effort, they can take it next level.
- Open minds by teaching the design & construction side of building parks, so the next gen can see new goals and career paths in action sports.

The support over these past few months from the action sports community, around the world, has been INCREDIBLE.

This reel highlights just a handful of the amazing youth who’ve already been part of Pillar’s growth. They’ve already given meaning to Next Gen, Next Level...and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
