It’s true, on this day 10 years ago we released our first full length, Jaded, Apathetic, With No Hope For The Future!

We’d both like to thank everyone who’s listened, bought merch, put us on a gig, been a label who released a recording by us, or otherwise has shown us grace and patience when they did not have to. Thank you.

I’m so proud of everything Todd and I have accomplished the past decade and I’m excited to formally announce that we’re in the process of recording our long awaited (to us, at least) follow up.

If I speak it into the world, it’s gotta exist eventually right?

Its @magicandmeeples birthday! Which means today is a day of celebration!

If you somehow don't know Chris yet, she was one of my earliest buds on this here platform and has been a kind, inclusive, and incredibly wonderful friend.

Earlier this month, Ellie and I road tripped up to her house to celebrate both of our birthdays, play oodles of games, and finally meet in person!

Chris and her husband, Todd @terminalprp are probably going to win hosts of the year (is that a thing? It should be a thing). For their incredible ability to have a million snacks, fun beverages, and great games to play. They even let us go outside as some little game breaks. How kind!

As the weekend ended, Chris held me at gunpoint and forced me to take SO many games home that I'm super excited to check out. If you're curious, peep the last slide!

Happiest of birthdays to one of the bestest of buds, super glad this platform brought us together as friends!

With February winding down, it's time for #bgmomentofthemonth by @thatsolomeeple, when we look back on the best gaming moment of the previous month. For us, it was a weekend visit from the amazing Scott @boardgamingbud and his lovely wife Ellie @perlapolis.

During their time here, we played lots of great games, including some that Scott taught us (Rafter Five, Not So Neighbourly, and Black Hole Rainbows), some we taught them (Kavango, Artistry, Wooly Whammoth), and some we already knew we enjoyed (Spots, Captain Flip).

One of my fave games that we played together was Party Panda Pirates (@draco_studios). It's a light, hilarious game of collecting coins ans trains by completing dexterity challenges and other little mini games. It had just the right amount of friendly competition and silly fun.

And of course, it definitely helped that we had such wonderful company to enjoy it with!

I've said it before, but Scott is an awesome human, and I highly recommend following and getting to know him. He was one of my earliest friends on this platform, as we bonded over our love of Survivor (which, fittingly, started a new season yesterday). And I hope we'll be friends for a long time to come, with hopefully many more gaming hangouts in our future!!
