Postop Day 5 ✨ Recovery mode, but make it glowy

Not going to lie — day 5 is humbling. But feeling so grateful for the precision & talent of my surgeon @doctoraston 🙏 The results speak for themselves & I couldn’t be in better hands. Even though I go through my perioperative skincare & makeup here, don’t be fooled! It was my plastic surgeon’s precision with his scalpel and exact right plane of skin & tissue dissection that enabled success!😷

I think a lot about surgeons & pilots. I want my pilot to have ALOT of hours. Surgeons & pilots are compared to each other because both work in high-stress environments where small errors can have huge consequences. Both must stay calm under pressure, master complex problems & be team leader

An analogy for my brain is the luck or fate of having a very experienced pilot on US Airways flight 1549, Captain Sulley Sullenberger, who landed on the Hudson River. Sulley successfully executed a tail-first, level-pitch landing, distributing the impact force & preventing the aircraft from breaking apart or cartwheeling. Dr. Aston did the same thing to my beaten up SMAS and thinned out skin four days ago!🫣

We’re saying “see you later” (not goodbye!) to our amazing team member, Erin @erinmarieski87 !!... She’s been such a wonderful part of our MedSpa family, and while we’ll miss her dearly, we can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for her. Best of luck, Erin — we’re cheering you on! 💕

Erin first came to work for me during Covid - she had recently become an aesthetician and laser technician and was hungry to learn more. Reason number 1 why I liked Erin. 1️⃣ Right off the bat she did not want to sit around during Covid shutdown but wanted to learn. While Kim (far right) and I were developing my skin care line since it was so boring during the shutdown 💉 , Erin would come to work and do trainings and learn more about the lasers!

2️⃣Reason number 2 why I meshed well with Erin was that when she gave birth to a baby girl she blossomed into a natural mom, but I saw a woman who was also eager to return to work to provide for her baby girl. I could tell Erin did not want to ever be in a situation where she would be dependent or have to rely on anyone else other than herself to provide for her sweet girl (even tho she has a great partner💕!). Great maternal instincts. Reason number 2 2️⃣why I like Erin!

Since I sold my Austin MedSpas back in August of 2024 and am not involved in the ops or staffing, Erin has loyally stayed on, been embraced and so very helpful! Now she’s turning the page to the next chapter and we wish her all the best in her future! 🎉
