✨Some news from Other Fold…✨

After an incredible seven months at Boston Manor Park, we’ve decided it’s time to take a well earned break before moving on with the next chapter in our Other Fold story.

And what a seven months it’s been!
Bringing the first wild and community sauna to West London has been a dream for us. In addition to that - hosting specialist events in the park under ancient trees including Aufguss, Pilates, yoga, sound baths, kids’ beading workshops, and nutrition talks to radio interviews, magazine recommendations and, most importantly, all of your amazing feedback - we’ve loved every minute we’ve had along this trip.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built so far and so grateful to everyone who has joined us - our regulars, lovely followers, sauna newbies, and those of you who were a little hesitant at first but are now fully-fledged converts… we love and appreciate every single one of you.

One of our favourite things about starting Other Fold has been seeing how something as simple as a sauna can bring people together. Creating a space that feels holistic, social and welcoming, in nature, where a community can grow and connections can be made, has been so special to us.

But before we move on, we have one more exciting thing to share! 🔥
We’re thrilled to be taking part in London Sauna Week @londonsaunaweek as one of the founding and participating London saunas. If you’d like to reserve one last sauna session at Boston Manor Park before we go, head over to Other Fold to reserve one of our remaining slots this coming weekend.

Please do keep following us on Instagram for updated news of what we get up to and where we end up. This isn’t goodbye - just a well earned pause before our next chapter. 📖

Thank you for showing up, spreading the word, bringing your friends and helping us create something so special. We appreciate you more than you know.
Here’s to everything we’ve shared so far, and to what comes next.

With love, warmth and gratitude,
Monica & James

It feels like today marks the unofficial end of summer… which feels slightly strange after spending most of it complaining about the 40-degree heat. 😂☀️

Looking back though, it’s been a pretty special one.

My youngest finally joining his big brother at school (a huge, slightly emotional landmark moment.) Beach days and ridiculously fresh, delicious food on the Isle of Wight. Family time up North, exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline and even spotting dolphins 🐬. Woodland walks, den building and kids disappearing into the trees for hours.

We scattered Dad’s ashes at his favourite lake spot on his birthday, with my siblings — one of those moments that was both incredibly sad and incredibly special.

There were endless BBQs with friends, country breaks, reunions with old friends, far too many late-night garden chats (often because it was simply too hot to go inside!), and somehow finding time to create a new salmon roulade/dip/recipe obsession along the way. 😂

I’ve squeezed in as much contrast therapy as possible, spent a lot more time swimming and finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with my front crawl. 🏊‍♀️

And in between it all, we’ve been testing out a Range Rover vs Defender… and I’m officially stuck. 👀 If you’ve had either, which one would you choose?

A summer of big milestones, little moments, good food, family, friends, grief, laughter, fresh air, cold plunges, long chats and a lot of memories made.

And after all that complaining about the heat… I’m actually a little sad to see you go. ❤️

But then again… autumn is in my DNA. 🍂 I’m a Libra after all. ⚖️✨

So, September… I’m ready!

Really enjoying @terriyoga Friday classes at Lammas Park! Challenging my body in ways beyond dance and trying to control my breathing rather than panting my way through (which is what tends to happen at BollyBurn 😅)

Still working on crow, and ironically lose balance on dancers pose, but looking forward to making the most of these summer classes and gradually making progress 🧘🏽‍♀️

If you’re in the Ealing area, Terri’s classes are fantastic 🙏

Still in solo parenting mode, doing my best f you heatwave and school closures lol. But feedback, you guys turning up, taking a mat overwhelms me especially . Thank you thank you.

Puchki is the keeper of the bowls and Indra seems to walk in just before England scores so he is the keeper of the goals 🫧

26th July final class until Sept I'm opening it up use code RUNFIFTY, dm me if you need it but budget doesn't allow. I got you. 1:1s/2:1s and me coming to you is still on but please email me for availability- can't wait to see a few of you in the garden room that have already reached out! 🙏🏽

What a fantastic Yoga & Sauna Session we hosted with @terriyoga on Sunday.
The weather was lovely and the 16 guests that came along to the Sauna - Yoga - Sauna session had a great time.

Very excited to announce our Wellness Session No3 - a fantastic yoga collaboration with the very wonderful Terri from @terriyoga

Set beneath ancient trees, this invigorating two-hour experience blends yoga and sauna to leave you feeling restored, rebalanced and deeply connected to nature.

The format is one yoga session with a sauna either side - choose your own adventure.

Sauna first and everything feels warmer and slightly less impossible. Or yoga first and your reward is essentially a sauna heated Savasana.

Saturday June 27th
3-5pm/4-6pm
Early bird is £28 🔥
16 spaces only

Book online at - www.otherfold.com/booking
Link in bio.

NB. We’ll reschedule if we have bad weather

COSY or perhaps LAZY was the theme of last week. Fires, lunches, an exhibition and hanging out.

My aim in class was to take you all to another planet. Based on feedback that was achieved!

I've decided to offer my Thursday evening class to the community - pay what you can as we head into the festive season. Often lonely, often stressful and dealing with family dynamics can be challenging. So for Thursday's @pottingshedlondon we will continue going low using the 3rd octave and will continue creating a safe/ spaced out place, where we deepen our stillness with no distractions.

Please use codes:
TAKE50
TAKE75
TAKE100

Booking via my website, only available for Thursday until 18th December class but unlimited so if you feel the benefit feel free to use each Thursday.

Sunday's on as normal - until the 14th December - you are all keeping me busy and I love planning this class for you all - we seem to reach a new level or planet each time.

This week I'm also going deep with @terriyoga closing savasana on Sunday 30th November at 11am Fielding. Booking via www.terriyoga.uk

Hope to see some of you but wishing all a you a good week.

Love
X Ram

Ps do take photos when you're in class don't be shy, setting up solo etc I never get the chance!

Setting up. Popping outside to waft the Palo Santo in takes longer than I thought when caught on Timelapse . Nipping into the loo to make sure I'm not too much of a hot mess before I sing the 🥣. Lights off let's go.

A minor blip @terriyoga Sunday Savasana, right side went completely numb, couldn't catch my breath (way to go for someone who is progressing to L1 breathwork mastery in Jan) but we were in it together , leaned into my vulnerability, shared and the 33 strong group got me through it. Felt the human connect. thanks for the support and for having me 🙏🏽 I'd be nothing without you all!

Cophenagen memories still making me happy, my boys. The fresh air hit different.

And let's give the floor @ambassadorsclubhouse for @lorealparis Diwali party curated by @karishmamanwanievents ✨ some love and maybe my toes (not mandatory) but the pedi by @v_lovefornails for sure.

The one the only David Bowie archive (it's small more of a reflective space but the V&A storehouse is well worth a visit, boys enjoyed it and I loved the Kaufman office replica)- because who are we with out DB's creativity & a sense of freedom to be who you are. I love a disruptor ⚡️

Sunday class @pottingshedlondon is on 6:15pm, bookings open, I have a special song to close with after the TP ✨🎶 booking link in bio.

Enjoy your weekend. With love x Ram

Another week nailed. Final singing of the bowls was for @lorealparis Diwali party. I'll always turn up to celebrate my favourite time of the year. 🪔

Thank you @karishmamanwanievents for having me and my bowls, a perfectly curated evening ✨

Today I'm on mum duty, 2 boys home from school and my youngest breaks today and I'm looking forward to taking him to his friends neon party this evening - I've missed them, so next week I turn my full focus (no juggling 🙏🏽) to them as we go to Copenhagen for half term. I'm just a little bit excited to be in our bubble.

Before I sound too cheese I have to give props to /tip my hat to....these girls. Behind me in their own ways and without it I'd just find life harder. Their support/convos, making me feel strong has no bounds.
