FUNCTION at TOYTOY, next Friday 🖤

We are thrilled to welcome one of techno’s true underground heroes to the @welovetoytoy booth next Friday. For over 30 years, @function.infrastructure has been shaping the sound of modern techno. From his early days in NYC’s early-90s Limelight era, to co-founding the cult collective @sandwell_district_official whose influence on underground techno “can hardly be overstated” (Billboard).

A core member of Sandwell District and @ostgut_ton artist, owner of Infrastructure New York, and a long-standing berghain_panoramabar resident, his legendary sets at Labyrinth Japan and Sandwell’s Sonar main stage closing are the stuff of rave folklore. Add his critically acclaimed albums Incubation and Existenz, plus his role in techno supergroup LSD alongside @lukeslater_planetary and @steve_bicknell , and you’ve got one of the most important figures in the game.

This is one you don’t want to miss.

One last ride through a month of pure groove. 🖤

Johannesburg, you gave us some unforgettable nights. From deep house to groovy techno, these are the moments that made the last month one to remember. The energy, the people, the music, the memories. All in one edit.

But this isn’t the end. The edits aren’t stopping. 👀

What’s coming next is a whole new level. A different aesthetic. A different feel. A different way of capturing the moments that make this scene what it is.

This is the last edit of this era. The next one? You’ll see.

Johannesburg nightlife, we’re just getting started. 🔊
