August 1, I came back from being in NYC for a month and started my 6 month residency with @youngarts and in the process of developing what would be known as “Spirit Scope” I got to collaborate with some good folks 🦅

- First with @burgundy.xyz as we came in with so many visions on how we saw Art Basel being for us with key players like @quiethours.space , @terrythedon and @garytylaa things came to fruition very quickly with @eliakimhp bringing the pieces together “Chambers of Reflection” came to life ! 🪽

- Second, having the opportunity from @lunchiebaby to create a portrait piece of legend Lee Scratch Perry a person who’s spirit channeled through out music much great full to the fam can can’t wait to see where the work goes next 🫶🏽

- For this one I wanted to bring it back to the source collaborating with friends from high school @nicolausgelin and @steph.clement_ at @ressonnance I got to bring in a new element to “Sprit Scope” that will soon be expanded into something even greater 🤞🏾

- With this being my first Art Basel of showcasing work in multiple spaces!! I wanna give my thanks to everyone that showed out to each of these places. I’m forever grateful for the moment I got to share with you all, and you can expect more from to come from Qadir Parris. 🫶🏽🦅

During our recent Art Basel exhibition, we opened up a broader conversation on how art is a direct reflection of the artist. From pain and trauma to pivotal life moments, these experiences often become the entry point for how artists express themselves on canvas.

Moderated by @garytylaaaa Chamber of Reflections moves hand in hand with the panel discussion — creating space to unpack memory, intimacy, and the ways we see ourselves through others. This dual-artist exhibition, presented during Art Basel at Quiet Hours in collaboration with @burgundy.xyz , brings together the distinct visual worlds of @terrythedon and @qp.artz.

One rooted in Miami, the other coming from Ohio — both artists sit at the crossroads of storytelling, culture, and emotional realism.
