CAKE PICNIC! 🎂💗🧺

Yesterday well exceeded my expectations! We had 16 unique and delicious home baked cakes, raised $443 in gross proceeds for @thefoodbaskethi, alongside a giant box of non-perishables, and had a massive community turnout from all over the island! 🙌🏼

The whole day was so joy filled. I’m still buzzing from it and beyond grateful to all who made it happen!

First and foremost to @honolii.orchards for saving the day and providing a beautiful venue for the event, safe from the rain! This was all possible with your support! 💗

To my amazing co-collaborator @manini_patisserie for the weeks of planning, communicating, and overall working together to make the day possible! We make a great team 👏 and I’m so grateful for you and your beautiful mind and heart! 💗

To all our INCREDIBLE bakers! This event was only possible because of your creations! Thank you for sharing your gifts with everyone! 💗

To my soul sister @leemahina for being the MVP of the day, helping me prep, holding down ticket sales, and filling the space with her light! 💗

To @hilo_run_club for showing up and supporting as a community! 💗

To all my friends who let me bounce ideas off of them and supported the event day of! Thank you for believing in the vision! 💗

And finally, and most importantly to YOU! The community!!! Thank YOU for coming and supporting this event and filling the space with your love. 💗

This is what it’s all about in my opinion, creating, sharing and supporting our community. And I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of something so beautiful.

Mahalo nui loa, I love you all greatly,
Casey Ray 💗

one week since leaving India after my 300hr TTC 🥹

as I sit here putting the final touches on the flow I created during training, I can’t help but reminisce on the people I met, the places I went, and everything we experienced together. getting home was a huge trek, but I truly wouldn’t change any part of it. the experience I shared with these humans bonded us in a way that’s hard to explain.

this trip was truly a testament to my practice on and off the mat. when I arrived in Rishikesh, there was a lot of ego, a lot of doubt, and a lot of questioning if I should even be there. but I left with a deeper sense of purpose and direction for how I can help people practice yoga not only on the mat, but in their lives off the mat too.

there were days I was happy. days I was sad. days where I couldn’t quite figure out what I was feeling. days where I felt like giving up. and days where I pushed myself further than I thought I could.

I’m so grateful to the instructors, the students, the staff, and the people I met in Rishikesh for such a beautiful experience and for showing me a different way of being. and I’m eternally grateful to the universe for the trip… and the extra side quest it took to get home.

after being home for one week, I’ve noticed a sense of calm in my mind and heart that I haven’t felt in a really long time. right now I’m just trying to hold onto that peace and continue cultivating it so I can carry it into my life, my practice, and hopefully pass a little of it on to my students too. 🤍
