In addition to the many talented women composers involved in video game music, the Life is Strange series sources indie music from some of the most talented women songwriters in the industry.

I Think You Change by @tessarosejackson is the perfect backdrop to @deckninegames's Life is Strange Double Exposure 🤩

You can catch our show live on Mondays 8-9pm AEST on twitch.tv/patchnoteheads 🎮 🎶 👾

Tessa Rose Jackson joins us to talk about "The Lighthouse With Strings", reworking seven songs with a string quartet and recording the EP live at Metropolis.

We talk about embracing imperfection, self-doubt, the Martin 00018 that changed her songwriting, returning to her own name, and the strange world behind "The Lighthouse".

Sometimes you’re minding your own business eating breakfast and @tessarosejacksoncomposer texts asking if you have a gravelly Leonard Cohen voice in your locker. Sure, you say, especially if I can record it before 11am.

2 hours later the track is done, and a year after that it’s out on the soundtrack of a Dutch @netflix smash… De Eetclub, aka The Perfect Lie for English speakers.

You can hear the song, Water to Wine, in the first episode, accompanying an excellent montage of decadence & debauchery. And it’s out on streaming platforms too. Big thanks to Tessa and @daritimm for having me on board!

Jesus, what a two weeks..

- Released the lighthouse live string ep on the day of the netflix premiere
- Celebrated 17 years of being together with the one and only @tessarosejackson
- A Perfect Lie reached global #3 and most watched non-english series on Netflix
- Went on tour and had amazing fun with the crazy string bunch
- Sold out st pancras old church and had a wonderful review in The Times
- Didnt mind my solo too much I guess

Happy and grateful I get to do these things surrounded by people I love and care about 💕

Tessa Rose Jackson playing songs from her astonishing album The Lighthouse; reflections on death and loss, acceptance, love and reflection. A topic we tend to avoid but carefully and thoughtfully laid out here to meditate on. Beautifully arranged with keyboard and string quartet, in the most perfect of settings -St. Pancras old church. A enthralling, captivating evening. A bonus with a Lovely support set from Chloe Foy. #tessarosejackson #chloefoymusic #tinytigerrecords #stpancrasoldchurch #singersongwriter

I finally got to meet the incredible @tessarosejackson earlier this week on her Liverpool tour stop! Tessa wrote the soundtrack for both Life is Strange: Double Exposure and Reunion (and is also just generally INCREDIBLY talented) and I've been waiting for a chance to meet her and get my vinyls signed 🥺

The pictures don't do justice to how incredible this intimate show was, genuinely such a wonderful experience - not least of all because it was entirely acoustic but with the backing of a string quartet! If you ever get a chance to see her play live, take it!
