chips & guac = celebrating 🥑

Today, I’m celebrating Tess and how proud I am of her and everything she’s accomplished over the last year or so!

But here’s the part you don’t always see on social media…

When Tess graduated HS, she had no idea what direction she wanted to go. She felt pulled in a few different ways and tried a few different things. She watched a lot of people around her that were the same age as her looking like they had it all figured out. Having fun in college, starting their careers, etc. As a mom, I could see this sitting heavily on her heart. I watched her get down on herself about it.

I reminded her that she was only seeing everyone else’s highlights, and that she didn’t need to rush. Take the time. Try whatever. Change your mind if you need to. You’re allowed to figure it out as you go. I’m still changing it up at almost 50!

Fast-forward a year and a half, and I’ve never seen her happier. She figured it out and is following her heart! ❤️ And she’s THRIVING!

I said to her during this little feast of ours that someone else is probably watching her and feeling the same way she felt almost 2 years ago.

It’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes all we need is a little time, to give ourselves some grace, and the courage to take the next step without knowing exactly where it will lead.

Just because you haven’t figured it all out yet doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. Your story is still unfolding.

The future is bright my love! Go inspire, have fun…the world is yours.
