🔥 JIGGLE IT ✨ MIDDLE SKOOL DANCEHALL! 🇯🇲

Throwing it ALL the way back to 2008 with “Jiggle It” by Tarnado ft. @latonyastyle

This song represents a whole era of Female Dancehall and the creativity coming out of the scene during the Middle Skool era.

“Jiggle It” Stylish Moves was one of those popular female dance moves that had everybody moving and the song highlighted several of the moves and styles created and popularized by First Class Dancers. 👑🔥

We were out there making our mark on the Dancehall scene, creating, performing, teaching and influencing the culture through movement.

Latonya can teach a whole hour-long class using ONLY First Class Dancers moves! 😂🔥 That’s how much material came out of that era.

And that’s exactly why we love when dancers come to Jamaica specifically looking to study the history and vocabulary of Female Dancehall.

Big up @nereapicazo from Spain 🇪🇸, who specifically requested Middle Skool Female Dancehall Training while visiting Jamaica. 🇯🇲❤️

There’s a difference between learning a routine and studying an era.

When you learn the moves, the music, the dancers who created them, the techniques and the stories behind them, you’re learning a piece of Dancehall history.

Middle Skool was an ERA! And First Class Dancers was PART OF THAT STORY. 🇯🇲🔥

17 July Recap 🇪🇸🇯🇲💃🏽

These Spanish dancing queens brought incredible energy to Jamaica as they immersed themselves in my exciting Middle Skool Female Dancehall session.

We explored signature moves and techniques inspired by legendary female crews and dancers including Attitude Girls, Mystic, Kartoon, First Class Dancers, Dance Xpressionz, and more 💃🏾 celebrating the creativity and evolution of one of Dancehall’s most iconic eras.

But the highlight? 🔥 We turned up the vibes with an authentic Middle Skool freestyle session, dancing to some of the hottest gyal tunes of the era, (including daggering songs) to help them understand the raw energy, freedom, groove, and party atmosphere that made Middle Skool Dancehall so unforgettable.

And here’s a fun memory… we even manifested Spain winning the World Cup! 😂🇪🇸⚽✨

🇯🇲 If you’re visiting Jamaica, never miss the opportunity to learn from yours truly, Latonya Style. Experience authentic Dancehall from someone who lived the culture, contributed to its growth, and has over 30 years of knowledge and hands-on experience from the streets to the stage. Learn the history, foundation, technique, attitude, and vibes that make Jamaican Dancehall one of the world’s most influential dance cultures.
