New San Antonio wrestling fans may not know this, but there was a time when one man nearly took RCW away.

At the turn of the decade in 2010, RCW was briefly known as Reinagel Championship Wrestling as longtime KENS-5 sportscaster Joe Reinagel waged war against Brandon Oliver. Reinagel wasn't reporting the news—he was making it. The ruthless manager manipulated, schemed, and even pinned Oliver in the ring to seize control of the company.

The battle finally came to an end when Oliver invaded the KENS-5 studios, knocked Reinagel unconscious with a janitor's bucket, and forced his signature on a contract returning ownership of RCW.

One of the most entertaining rivalries in RCW history was revived for one night in 2019 when Reinagel made a surprise appearance as Special Guest General Manager, bringing fans right back to those unforgettable moments.

On July 19, RCW proudly honors one of the most memorable personalities ever to step into the RCW spotlight.

Joe Reinagel will be inducted into RCW Honors!
