The advice to just stay vigilant is no longer enough against scams.

Last year, the elderly lost $7.7 billion to scammers and fraud.

I'm petrified that my parents and loved ones will be part of a future statistic.

So I created @textbernie so that my parents, my loved ones, even I would have a tool against all of the emails, texts, and phone calls bombarding me daily.

It's a simple to use SMS based tool where you simply ask it is this real or not. I've been using it every day whenever I get anything suspicious from a financial institution, my credit card companies, etc.

There's a link in my bio if you'd like to learn more about Bernie.

And if you've been victim to a scam, I'd love to hear from you and your experience.

They never tell us. they’re embarrassed, so we find out after.

That’s why we made Bernie. they just text it before they click.

The world's leading deepfake expert just told the New York Times that even he can’t believe his own eyes anymore.

So what does that mean for our parents who get bombarded with frauds and scams on a daily basis?

That's why my friends and I got together and became co-founders and created @textbernie

It's meant for our parents and loved ones who we want to protect, and it's meant for all of us trying to protect them.

While we can't stop the deluge, we can empower ourselves to not fall for them.

Follow us on our journey as we launch it officially in just a few weeks this summer. and learn about all the stories including our own that compelled us to go down this road
