🎶 More favourite moments from our Come & Sing Brahms! Last Saturday, almost 200 singers came together at Upper Chapel in Sheffield to sing Brahms' A German Requiem. We were delighted to welcome visiting singers from across the UK, and it was especially lovely to see some familiar faces returning from our previous Come & Sing events! 🌟 A special thank you to our Music Director Darius Battiwalla, soprano soloist @rubylewin_singing , baritone soloist @teyfikkamal , and pianists @rachelfright and Jonathan Gooing, whose wonderful musicianship made the day such a pleasure. A heartfelt thank you to all our visiting singers for bringing such enthusiasm and energy to the day, and to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. It was a real pleasure to make music together! ❤️ ❤️ Enjoy a few more moments from the day! 📸 Big thanks to our photographer @russelleagling #ComeAndSing #BrahmsRequiem #SheffieldPhilharmonicChorus #ChoralMusic #SheffieldMusic

BROKEN IVY When humanity pushes beyond the limits of the natural world, nature begins to answer back. Drawing on English folklore, Broken Ivy depicts the relationship between human and nature as something ancient, alive and powerful. Here, nature is not simply the backdrop to the story, but a force with its own memory — one that watches as human ambition reaches beyond what the world is willing to sustain. Mythic, haunting and deeply attuned, the opera explores humankind overreach and the inevitable reckoning with its nature, asking what must be abandoned and what we have to preserve. One of our shows from The Breaking Point, a cycle of four original short operas part of Tête À Tête: The Opera Festival 2026 ( @teteateteopera ), presented at the Cockpit theatre ( @thecockpit ) on the 19th September 2026. THE BREAKING POINT What happens when we're pushed beyond what we can take? What lies beyond our breaking point? Four new short operas, four different worlds in which we explore what it means to be human. Folklore, ambition, resistance and domestic conflict collide in one evening of new contemporary opera. Created by composers from the Royal Academy of Music in collaboration with emerging librettists, The Breaking Point brings four original works to the stage as part of Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival 2026 at The Cockpit Theatre. 🌿 Broken Ivy reimagines English folklore through an ecological myth about humanity and the natural world. 🤺 Fence Off! turns a fencing duel into a psychological confrontation between two opponents pushed to discover who they truly are. 🗣️ Sing4 Nok6 and Other Broken Things explores cultural erasure as a language begins to disappear before the audience. 📺 Meet the Philips follows a couple arguing in front of the television — until the television decides to join in. 📍 The Cockpit Theatre, London @cockpittheatre 🎭 Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival 2026 @teteateteopera 🎓 Royal Academy of Music @royalacademyofmusic More soon.

RAM Spring Scenes 2026 💃 Slightly delayed post, but had the BEST time performing my first Cherubino alongside the wonderful @lizi.vineall and @kathy.macaulay.soprano! Post features: Norbert the origami dragon, excessive backstage nebulising, and possibly the best cast photo ever taken...

A very lovely few weeks filled with even lovelier faces! Very grateful for the opportunity to explore Catalani’s La Wally which, though not without its difficulties, has been a joy to work on with insanely talented peers. The last few months have been a stark contrast of emotions, and I’m particularly grateful to my friends and colleagues for their unending support. It has struck me what a balm music is for all ills and hurt, and what a privilege it is to tell stories through that music.
