Introducing: Sacred Thresholds Collection

Displaying multiple pieces creates a powerful visual conversation, each painting speaks individually, but together they tell a deeper story about landscape, memory and the places that shape us.

Whether you're creating a gallery wall or a statement installation, these works reward close looking and reveal themselves over time. The subtle marks, the restrained use of Leskernick Gold, the clean horizon lines - they all speak to a contemplative approach to place.

Perfect for collectors who want their walls to tell a story. Available in Teyr Fine Art during April. 🌾

Tip: Originals like Breakers' Edge (60cm x 60cm) work beautifully as a statement piece in contemporary and eclectic interiors.

This is art that works in spaces where collectors want substance and meaning, where the piece becomes a conversation about connection to place, about the wild beauty of the Cornish coast, about the land we inhabit.

The off-white float frame keeps it clean and simple, while the layered composition draws the eye in, creating a focal point that rewards close looking. Perfect for collectors who want their walls to tell a story.

Available in Teyr Fine Art until 28th March. 🎨

Tip: Originals like On the Cliffs at Porthgain (100cm x 80cm) work beautifully as a statement piece in contemporary and eclectic interiors. The off-white painted edges frame it cleanly, and the layered composition draws the eye in, creating a focal point that rewards close looking.

This is art that works in spaces where collectors want substance and meaning - where the piece becomes a conversation about connection to place, about what we leave behind, about the land we inhabit.

Perfect for collectors who want their walls to tell a story.

Available in Teyr Fine Art during March. 🎨

Finally I can share some artwork - everything recently has been commissioned for birthday presents. This is a close up of a current work in progress for our April exhibition in the gallery.

Happy Friday everyone! I spent mine here ❤️

These Lands of Ours is an exhibition of a collection I’ve been working on for a few months based on familiar landscapes that I love to see time and time again.

The familiarity allows me to see new things in new ways and explore the land from a more abstract viewpoint.

Open Wednesday - Saturday 11-4 until 28th March. #cornwallartist #artexhibitioncornwall #artforcolourfulinteriors #abstractlandscapes #cornishlandscape

Art Surgery is back for a fourth session, this time heading to Bude!

The session is free of charge and open to members of both CAMP and CKA. It’s a supportive, peer-led space where artists of all backgrounds and experiences can share work, raise questions, or simply listen and connect.

Sunday 29th March, 2pm to 4pm
Arrive at 1.45pm to settle in
Teyr Fine Art, 1c Princes Street, Bude, EX23 8AT

The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, but with a clear structure so everyone gets the most from the afternoon:

15 mins: Intro
6 x 15 mins: Slots for people who’ve booked a crit / question / provocation
15 mins: Group reflection & close

Capacity is limited to around 12 participants (plus facilitators). There are six bookable slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. A few additional spaces are available for those who’d like to attend without presenting.

Think of it like a drop-in doctor’s surgery, but for artists! Whether you want to share work-in-progress, bring a specific concern, or just gain new perspectives, you are very welcome.

To book a slot, please contact Ruth: ruthyb23@hotmail.com

Huge thanks to Natalie and Hannah at Teyr Fine Art for providing the venue and supporting this event. We are so excited to be collaborating with this fantastic gallery space!

Now available in the gallery - limited edition fine art prints.

You can see my full selection of prints during February in the 'Editions' exhibition at Teyr Fine Art, on now until 28th.

Featuring the full Porthmeor Print Collection, Sacred Landscapes and a selection of the Copper Studies with hand embellished copper leaf addition.

Framed and unframed options are available and these are all in limited editions.

I'm looking forward to getting in the studio this month and creating some new pieces for the upcoming exhibitions, and of course my soundtrack will include the Foos. The brilliant tribute band @sw_foofighters are doing a gig at Bideford Palladium in March so I can't wait to get my first Foo live fix of the year 🤘

Open Weds to Sat, 11am to 4pm.

Thats 2025 done. Well almost.
Thanks @teyrfineart for providing me with 2 opportunities to show my work. @hannah_wheeler_art for teaching me new skills in oil painting and to @wendy.greaves.textiles for reminding just how awesome textile art is and sending me on a quest for an embellisher!
Thanks to @budecancersupport for providing continued support through sound baths @wildspiritswellnesscafestudio . And for allowing me yo give back yo this wonderful support charity by running art workshops.
Without doubt the friendship and support of friends ( some pictured) life would be a little dull.
We said good bye to one of the best cats I've every been a slave too, but also welcomed to new masters to the home.
