●It's been a Jackety week!
●The weather is pants, so I needed a cheery project.
●But I HAD to show you this Boden jacket that really needed an upgrade and a bit of Sewing Su loving!
●I am sooooo lucky to have @fabricloveuk in my city, it's a treasure trove of fabric loveliness.
●Struck absolute Golddust finding this wonderful fabric which matched the jacket and the Clients personality.
●Absolutely loved doing this piece.

●If you haven't found @fabricloveuk yet..you are missing out! Seriously!

●I don't think I could have had a busier month or weekend if I tried any harder!
●The village where I live held their Biannual Village Fayre, of which I am part of the committee!

●Enough of that.. but what better way to plug the @maldondeckchairco and use them around the Fayre in this beautiful summer weather 🙄🌧🌩
●By mid afternoon, they were a welcome respite for the villagers to relax in and soak up the atmosphere.

●All deckchairs are for hire, including the large one.
●Corporate events to small gatherings..deckchairs are a perfect solution to informal seating.
●They can print your own designs as well as having an extensive range of colours to compliment your event.

●As well as facilitating the Fayre this weekend, I managed to meet the Lovely Holly and her bridesmaids for their first fittings ..as well as the lovely Alice who is my 3rd bride of the season! All dresses from @amarapromstudio

●I'm looking forward to another busy week in the workshop..let's hope summer appears soon!!

●Practicing Zero waste 🗑
●I throw nothing away.
●So when a local community group needed ribbon, what better way to reuse some of my stash!
●Can you spot your dress now scaring the pigeons away??🐦‍⬛

🧵What a weekend! ❤️
● Started Friday..then didn't stop!
● A absolute massive thankyou to everyone who came to pick up their gowns or came to have their first fits.
● You ALL looked stunning!

●It's an absolute privilege to make your dresses fit like a glove and hear the words "Perfect" when you see yourselves in the mirror.

● Best comment of the weekend.."It doesn't look like it's been altered. It looks like it was made that way"

●That...makes ANY person who sews for a living know they have done their job right.

●So just to give a little insight, here is a short little video of a beautiful dress..that had a broken zip, and a gazillions metres of hem removed and I turned it into a corset top fitting. Needless to say, it fitted "PERFECTLY".

●Thanks for the continued support.
●Here's to another week at the workshop table.

From shimmering sequins to delicate satin, I'm immersed in a kaleidoscope of colors and textures, bringing dreams to life, one stitch at a time. 💃✨ Can't wait to see these dresses light up the dance floor! #SewingMagic #PromSeason #CreativityInFullBloom"

E-Textiles..who knew!
Well, I did, but I didn't realise how accessible it was to mear mortals like me!
It takes a 16 year old daughter to request a jacket with lights on, to spur on an adventure into sewing conductive thread, lights and a battery.
Watch this space...its going to be a fun thing happening!

⭐️⭐️Intro ⭐️⭐️

Meet the new dream team at Maldon Deckchair Co.

We’ve had a bit of a change here and are in the process of getting everything in order.
However while we do this we’d like to say Hey!! 👋

The Maldon Deckchair Co. was created by the amazing Meryl, who has flown off to a new life in the US ✈️🇺🇸 (I’m not jealous whatsoever 😂)
She has entrusted me to carry the company on!
So who am I!?
Hey! I’m Jess, some of you may already recognise me as the owner of @thesundaecycle
Ice Cream and deckchairs just go, right!! 🤷‍♀️
Nothing changes in terms of what we do……. You can still hire or purchase our deckchairs to make that event or space POP with one of our many set designs or go all out with a custom design just for you!

We are now working with the AMAZING Su, owner of @teytextiles
Su is the magic behind the slings ensuring they are ‘fit to sit’!

Our website is currently having an overhaul but any questions/queries/enquiries just send us a message or email me at hello@themaldondeckchaircompany.com

💜💛💚🧡💙❤️🤍
Let the fun begin!
