✅Scolio-Pilates® Module 3 in Melbourne is now complete! I’ve spent the last four days with this wonderful group of Instructors and it’s been such a privilege to guide them on this journey. ✅Prior to our face to face time, they completed a 10 Week Case Study on a client and attended four Study Halls via zoom with me. 😳Yesterday they spent the morning reviewing all they have learnt during this process and in the afternoon they had a formal exam. They had to perform a multitude of assessments on their allocated Scolio Model (who they hadn’t worked with before), mark up their x-rays, write a programme specific to their model, complete a written exam and do some teaching. 🙌🏼 Once I’ve marked their papers and they’ve completed any follow on work from this, we will have six more Scolio-Pilates Practitioners! 🙏Thank you all for your questions, curiosity, energy and passion and I look forward to watching you progress on this journey. Module 3 is called “The Mentorship”…..so I will continue to be here to guide your journey. 👍Introducing our soon to be Practitioners: 🙌🏼Melbourne: Joshua Minden, Tamara Weston, Katie Shepherd, Mikki Ngo 🙌🏼Sydney: Sally Derbyshire 🙌🏼Hong Kong: Elsie Wong 🙌🏼Vietnam: Mikki Ngo (splits her time between Melbourne and Hanoi) 🙏Big thanks to Sergio and Grace (Practitioners already) for their assistance. 🥰And finally a huge shout out to all of my clients who gave up their time to be a Scolio Super Model- you are all rockstars and I can’t run these courses without you! Ready to start your journey? Book into one of my upcoming deliveries of Modules 1 & 2 today! ➡️ Brisbane ➡️ Perth ➡️ Sydney ➡️ Hong Kong ➡️ Tokyo ➡️➡️ Already completed Module 1 & 2? Join me in Bandung in October for Module 3! #scoliosis #scoliopilates #scoliosisexercise #scoliosiseducation #scoliopilatesaustralia

A double arm reformer flow to work into shoulders, arms and back. A great one if you can’t kneel (my current own predicament)! Broken down: 1) Tricep press 💎 with classical diamond shape between index fingers and thumbs. 2) I have no name for this 🙂‍↔️ but a great one for posture and release, working into upper and middle back. Round through the shoulder blades as you take the arms forward and squeeze them together when you draw the arms back opening through the chest. 3) I call this slow bird of prey 🦅- little lifting and lowering of arms like a bird flapping its wings very slowly - great one for the shoulders. 4) Hug a tree🌴- fab one for chest, delts and shoulders. 🔵🟡 Good sequence for a yellow or blue spring. You can catch me teaching this and similar sequences at the wonderful @tformpilates P.s video is slightly sped up! #pilates #pilatescommunity #pilatestoorak #pilatesmelbourne #kneeinjury #posture

Bridges are one of my favourite exercises on a reformer. They’re wonderful for working glutes, hamstrings ( especially with a couple springs off) and the core (it’s switched on to help us stabilise and keep correct form). They’re also a big part of my knee rehab and are usually a great lower body choice for anyone with knee injuries. The flow above I recently taught at @tformpilates (video is x1.5 speed), let’s break it down: 1- Spine curls - rolling up into bridge. 2- Adduction pulses - add pulses against the ball for inner thigh activation at the top of spine curl. 3- Glute pulses to warm up glute max, proceed to roll down slightly and take more pulses (maintaining spinal articulation), and repeat a couple of times until pelvis is almost down. 4 - Draw all the way up to the top for some more pulses! 5- We’re ready for single leg work - focus on maintaining a stable pelvis as you lift one leg to extension and back down. 6- Bridge extensions to finish off the hamstrings (I’ve not gone to full extension as per my rehab instructions!), arms can be lifted off carriage for an extra challenge. Give it a go and let me know what you think! #pilates #pilatescommunity #bridges #pilatestoorak #pilatesmelbourne
