Friday night was about so much more than a football game.

After everything Marsh Valley football has been through the last couple of years, seeing our boys take the field again felt pretty special. ❤️💙

Kash’s junior year, he started the first game of the season at quarterback, only to break his arm and miss the rest of the season. A few weeks later, after several more injuries, Marsh Valley didn’t have enough players to continue and the varsity season was canceled.

So to stand on the sidelines Friday night and watch these boys play football again… it meant something.

There were so many kids who stepped up and had incredible moments, that I don’t even want to try to name them all because I’d hate to leave someone out. What stood out most was watching them fight for each other, encourage each other and come together as a team.

We ended up losing by 3 points, but honestly, it still felt like a win.

And I have to give my boy Kash a little shoutout. ❤️ He sprinted 65-yards for a touchdown saving tackle , and then juggled and intercepted a pass in the in zone and returned it 103 yards for a pick 6! The crowd went crazy, and as a mom, I’ll admit… that was pretty dang fun to watch. 😂

But my favorite part may have been looking around and seeing the younger football players cheering their hearts out the entire game. Seeing those kids watch, cheer and be excited to be part of it reminded me that this is about more than the scoreboard.

It’s about Marsh Valley.

It’s about our kids.
It’s about our coaches.
It’s about our families.
It’s about our community showing up for each other again.

After a hard season last year, it was really good to see Marsh Valley football back under those lights.

Last night reminded me that sometimes you can lose the game and still feel like you won something much bigger.

So proud of this team. Proud of our boys. And really proud to be part of the Marsh Valley community. ❤️💙🏈

Three years ago, this started as one man’s morning walk.

Last weekend, it became history.

61 runners lined up. Only one walked away as Last Man Standing. For the first time ever, our runners pushed past 100 miles. Eight of them crossed that mark. Two of our women did too. Records fell all weekend long. 3runners individually climbed the equivalent of Mount Everest.

51 of our 61 starters individually climbed the equivalent of Mount Borah.

Over 6 million people watched the video coverage roll in. Thousands more followed the live tracker, refreshing every 20 minutes to see who was still out there.

This is why we do this. Not for the miles. For what happens in your mind after mile 20. Mile 40. Mile 60. Mile 90. The moment you find out what you’re actually made of.

Congrats to every single runner who toed the line this year. And congrats to Brian Baker, our 2026 Last Man Standing.

Last man standing 2026 was awesome! 62.7 miles and 15,900 feet elevation Learned so much about myself And am so grateful for the experience. So thankful for all the friends and family that supported me, I couldn’t have done this without them.

First ultra marathon in the books! @inkomlastmanstanding was an incredible experience. I ran 52.8 miles in 16 hours, surrounded by an amazing community that pushed one another to go farther than we thought was possible.

I’m grateful to have experienced it alongside friends and family, for all the new people I met, and for the lessons learned along the trail.

These sad little piggies carried Tyler #55 miles!! He went farther than we anticipated with his knee injury! I’m so proud of him for continuing to push him self!
