Moved when moving.✨

This just about sums up the night with @tg_mnl 's intimate show, Daydream. The mini concert was an adventurous take on making the audience feel the performances. Watching it definitely felt like a journey inside their world, and what gift it was to be part of it tonight.

Congratulations @tg_mnl @ashleyolazo

Enjoy part 1 of our coverage!

Moments in between, when the mind starts to wander into a different reality.

It can't be touched, yet the feelings feel just as real.

What if I let go?
What if give it a chance?
Why won't the pain leave?
Is it really worth risking?
Will this last?

✨✨✨

We live at the crossroads of survival.

Yet the feminine spirit continues to
wander. Sometimes, in those moments of wandering, women imagine worlds large enough to
hold their fullest selves. Selves that are loving, pursuing, and dreaming.

Across multiple choreographic works,
journey through memories, ambitions,
fears, regrets, longing, joy, and imagined possibilities.

See you at Daydream! @studioatthethird

Ash Olazo (Co-Director, Daydream, TG Artistic Director)
@ashleyolazo

Each piece started from something personal. Since we were working from our own ideas, the character of each piece came out more naturally. The movement came from what we were thinking about, remembering, wanting, or imagining, so we did not have to force a specific feeling into the choreography.
I also started noticing that we were all holding onto something. It could be something that already happened but we could no longer do anything about, something we still want to happen, something that has not happened yet, or something that probably cannot happen at all. It is something intangible. It can be a dream, a memory, a possibility, even a nightmare.
I think that is also what made this showcase challenging. We did not have one specific setting or area where all the pieces happen. We had to build something from things that are mostly invisible.
And honestly, for a first showcase, ang tapang din na ganitong setup ang pinili namin. But I think that is what makes Daydream interesting.

Gabriel Villaruel (Daydream Writer, Producer)

It has been two years since we first attempted to put together a dance showcase. For one reason or another, it never happened. That opportunity came this May 2026.

We did a simple exercise where everyone was asked to pitch a dance piece. So I asked the girls what their pieces were about. What surprised me was how different their ideas were, yet how similar the language around them became. They talked about things they were thinking about, things they imagined, situations they found themselves in, and worlds they created in their heads. One was thinking about this, another was imagining that. Then I realized what connected all of them is that they were all daydreaming.

It happens while we are commuting, doing chores, working, waiting, or trying to
