Take the good with the bad.
Lost my match 3 hrs before event. Opponent had car trouble. Showed up for team support anyways. Landed 3 last minute matchups .
1st matchup vs 180 purple. Finished with a rnc!

Talked Tom into a fun exhibition match that deserves its own post 😅🤣
*
Landed a 3rd match against a 180 brown belt. Very avid competitor. 1st guy to not tap to the cloverleaf! Finished with an inside heelhook.
*
Appreciate Tom for keeping me in mind for all last minute matches..
Congrats to @sethhirani on his title win!
Congrats to @livrothh on her debut win!

So I ended up with a draw for my purple belt debut. I got some good takedowns and didn’t give up very much offense but I also didn’t create very much offense for myself. This obviously gives me a lot to work on moving forward.
However the real highlight of the match today was getting my purple belt from my long time friend and coach @kenalfaro his guidance and friendship in my journey in jiu jitsu has kept me on the mats in times I didn’t know if I was gonna stick with it. The overwhelming support from my friends and family has always kept me going in this martial arts journey. Thanks everyone who’s supported so far.
