Big Guns in Cowtown was one for the books! I had a blast, made an open field fence turn, and got to support @different_day_foundation in the meantime. Same time next year?

Well… that was a blast!!

Had a great time trying this cow horse deal on for size tonight at the Big Guns in Cowtown.

Big thanks to Molly Dodson for letting me take “Elvis” for a spin. What a cool little horse! Thanks to @tgmerrillperformancehorses for the coaching and to @nrchafoundation for the opportunity to ride for @different_day_foundation.

I think I could get used to this cow horse deal!

It’s showtime!💪

Big Guns in Cowtown is tonight. Been doing some homework, and I’m ready to put it to the test. Not sure who let me get a taste of this cow horse deal, but I think they’ve created a problem.😂

BAILANDO
NP & Int NP Futurity Finalist!!!

Im so proud to have bred and raised this nice gelding out of my special mare Peptos JLo. Eva Rittner put a wonderful foundation on him and we have continued to gain confidence showing together all summer.
Many thanks to the Dawson’s for helping with all our cow work, along with Tyler Merrill and Jay McLaughlin for best turn back help. Let’s do it all over again in the finals!

Lucky Chuck is a proud sponsor of the NRCHA, and we couldn’t be more excited to have sent every contestant at the Snaffle Bit Futurity home with a pair of Lucky Chucks performance boot socks! 🍀

We’re especially proud of all our Lucky Chuck athletes competing this year. The hard work, dedication, and grit y’all bring to the arena never go unnoticed.

A special thank you to Kalpower Quarter Horses and the NRCHA for helping make this possible!

The @ridetvofficial team stopped by @tgmerrillperformancehorses before the Futurity to film him riding some horses and meet Life By The Drop, the 2024 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion sided by Stevie Rey Von and out of Sheza Dancingdiamond, by Diamond J Star. The @holycowperformancehorses-owned mare won her Futurity Championship with Chris Dawson in the saddle before the reins were handed over to Merrill, an honor he doesn’t take lightly. We won’t spoil the entire story, but Merrill took his time building a relationship with Deliah, getting her unwound from the intensity required to win a major title like the Snaffle Bit. Earlier this year, Merril and Deliah added the Open Hackamore Classic championship to their résumé’s, Merrill’s first major event win. He said @_classicequine’s Dawson was the first to congratulate him. That’s the sportsmanship that keeps us coming back for more, and we can’t wait to share the day shooting with Merrill soon.
