REVENGE OF THE DREAMERS: (Issue 001) — An article regarding the misalignment between artworks and collectors 💭

An Addition to REVENGE OF THE DREAMERS: The Collector’s Sale. Written + Developed by @rhuxiecreates

In Today’s World Art is slowly becoming a valuable asset. It starts conversations, creates opportunities for investment, and it is a global language many can understand.

We often interact with artworks in galleries, museums, or art fairs. Some of us are art fanatics, some of us like what we see, some of us like the stories behind them but the disconnect happens when a price tag is mentioned. Especially for young people.

The artwork you glanced at hoping to put up in your bedroom is not as affordable as you thought it would be.

I’m here to fix that, what if we could solve young people’s inability to collect artworks that represent them?

My name is RHUXIECREATES, a South African visual artist and I’m presenting a collection of images from my solo exhibition REVENGE OF THE DREAMERS to be collected at affordable prices so that you can start your art collecting journey now!

THE LAND OF DREAMERS
THE PROPHECY WAS NEVER WRONG

I WELCOME YOU TO
THE WORLD OF BELIEVERS
THE WORLD OF SEEKERS

Every dream, every action, every sacrifice
was always for the little kid inside of us.

Those who stand before you share the same thing
you once deemed worthy of life

THE DREAM
THE VISION
THE PROPHECY

And therefore, we oath to keep our visions alive
despite JUDGEMENT, FEAR,
or the lack of outside approval.

For those who have ever felt undermined for their contributions,
overlooked by the world,
or unseen for their perspective

This is the REVENGE OF THE DREAMERS.

THE PROPHECY
