I was asked if I wanted to work Ironman this year. My exact response was, “Work or help? I’d love to help. But work? Naw, I really want to have some free time to catch up with all the race families and friends I’ve made over the years.”

Kayla Bolton asked if I’d be willing to do the Micro & Youth podiums on Saturday. Heck yeah! 🤙🏻

GNCC isn’t a “participation trophy” youth sport. You want that? Go play soccer or t-ball. GNCC podiums are EARNED. Mud, dust, blood, tears, freezing cold, numb hands & noses, and more. 💪🏻💪🏻

I entered this sport more than a decade ago and always tried to give the kids the same enthusiasm and treatment I gave the Pros on the podium in the afternoon. It was a ton of fun to dust the mic off and get back to where I started at the GNCC’s.

If the side of my head covered in gray hair isn’t evidence enough that I’m getting old, how about all the kids I interviewed this weekend who’s dad’s were getting wins & overall podiums when I started. 😳 Steven & Hank Squire, Jacobi & Thad Duvall, and Layne & Dustin Hendershot. We got old fellas. 😂

A few for the little people 👶 (Is it acceptable to call ’em midgets again yet? 😂) and the Peddle Peeps.

I’m finally within an hour of home, and I think I got everyone their photos that was waiting on them. Man, this drive seemed to take FOREVER. 😂

Anyways, 8,000 photos from Mason-Dixon GNCC are LIVE for everyone to look through and hopefully buy a few. 🤘

Thanks for all the support, guys! We’ll see you at Ironman. 🤘

P.S. If you know any of these little midgets, tag them or their parents please. 🙏😂

Never know who you’re gonna find in a small patch of West Virginia woods. Just follow the dirt bike noises… 😂
