The single most memorable trip I have ever had in my life. I counted every minute and every memory of this trip, till we left. I hope to continue counting the minutes and memories we spend together for the rest of our lives and all eternity.

Month 1: You’re mommy brought you safely into this world with so much love surrounding you. You were so so tiny. I believe you taught me so many things this past year.

Month 2: You started looking around more and more. Making all these funny noises all the time. You LOVED listening to music, still do actually.

Month 3: You taught your mommy and I how much you really brightened up our lives. Christmas felt like a dream again.

Month 4: You started responding to your name and started recognizing your Mommy and I. I was still in the process of learning what being a “Dad” meant.

Month 5: You learned how to smile and havent stopped since lol. You also learned how to grab things and started pinching me really hard.

Month 6: Exhibit A of learning how to grab things. I think this was the month I realized how fast you are growing.

Month 7: You learned how to hug. You also taught me how to be softer.

Month 8: You just never really stopped smiling and its so cute to see in real time. You started standing this month, but couldnt quite get the hang of stepping forward. I was learning too.

Month 9: Your Abuela and Abuelo started spoiling you so much. All the sudden they got funds for spending it on whatever you want. But they are helping me give you a life we all wanted.

Month 10: You started to walk this month! And immediately started kicking around the soccer ball. Ima have to start you in soccer at 4 ngl.

Month 11: You started to say “Momma” and “Dada”. You were slowly looking so much like your mommy and it helped me realize how much I value you.

1 Year later: You are such an adventurous handsome boy now. This year passed by way too fast, but the lessons I learned from you will stick forever. You taught me that being a “Dad” is something anyone can choose to be. Being a “Father” means so much more than a “choice”. And being good at both is shown through how much you love others. I love you so much ❤️
