[PRO-AM prelims] Shooting the routines and spotlights during @asiawcsopen has been a wonderful experience, but I truly believe that it’s through the prelim format that my style shines. I love getting closer to the dancers and capture these fleeting moments of emotions, from the shy glances to those smiles that can lit up whole rooms❤️ Even though I love being behind the camera, I am a writer above all else and as a storyteller, these things are what drew me to photography.

And nothing works better than Pro-am competition for that 🤩 I have never seen dancers as happy as those stepping in front of the artists they’ve been admiring for so long and knowing that for the next minute and a half, they will create something together.

I do not know everybody on these photos so if you notice someone I haven’t tagged, please do so in the comments to let them see 💕

PS : this is only a sample of the photos I have worked on for pro-am… I’ll release the full batch together with the other photos when I’m done editing them 💪

You will not believe the relief I felt when we rotated to each other for our semis! @thamtodance 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

This was really a comfortable, enjoyable dance and I'm so glad we got to draw each other one last time in this division! Thanks for being my partner in crime and always helping me to film vids! 🫡🫡🫡

Also a shout-out to @pamelable94 and @samuelyeun for always being there to cheer for us and also all the fun hangouts!

Really appreciative of all of you!

You’d think that was the last song, but judges needed one more song. For the final song, we gave our absolute best!

So this happened, I was surprised to have made it to finals. At this stage , the followers rotate once and the couple for the finals will be the same for all the 3 songs.

I was paired with Joey from Singapore. I guess I can say, we danced our hearts out for the finals, and it all starts with the first song for the Novice Jack n Jill finals.

Once you master the improvised moves, why not level up your game with some West Coast Swing choreography? In our first Swing to Stage series, our amazing dancers dedicated 4 weeks to perfecting this stunning routine by @weetzeyi and @fluffled.

We’re so proud of their hard work!
