I want to thank my sister @leslyvergarav for the most memorable and beautiful Bach weekend! I am so grateful to have had my favorite girls with me to celebrate this new and exciting chapter of my life! You all mean the world to me! There aren’t enough words to express how thankful I am 🫶🏻 Now let’s make me a MRS🎉🍾

Where do I even begin? Long post incoming. At the young age of 14, I knew what my calling was - Physical Therapy. From undergrad to finishing grad, 7.5 years of school overall, with the DPT program being a weekend only program, it is finally real. The process was far from easy, with many difficulties. But I can finally say it’s accomplished :)

First, and truly, this is all a testament to God’s mercy and favor. God used my weakness as windows for His glory. None of this would not have been possible without His doing. Though evident daily, I believe God used my failed first attempt at the boards to help see God’s grace in my life. I failed by only 7 points and was so depressed. But I was able to use the first attempt as a pivotal point in my own personal growth. And jumped 98 points to pass the second time. Thank you to my tutor @rahulshah007 as well for the support and push to accomplish a major goal.

To my parents and family, for support in every manner possible, I thank you all for being my rock through it all. No words can express how grateful I am to have a chaotic but fun and loving family as ours.

To my classmates, we made it! I can’t believe it. We have been through so much as a class but it only brought us closer together. I’ll miss all our potlucks and crazy get togethers, but this means that we all have to do our best to continue to see each other (and it’s definitely what Minki would have wanted 🤍).

To our professors, thank you for everything. After a long and hard week of work, putting up with our crazy class and making us the successful clinicians we are, is a blessing to have experienced. I especially thank you and will never ever forget for your support when we our class experienced the loss of our loving classmate Minki.

To my friends, and all other supporters, outside of school, thank you for continually supporting me even if I wasn’t as present. Dreams take sacrifices but also a village/community. And I wouldn’t trade mine for the world! And a special thank you to my dearest Thara for the glam and grad pics 🫶🏾🤧

Officially thanking everyone as
Dr. Ashley S. Mathew, PT DPT.
