A few slides of moments from my camera roll from the 2025 @belmarpro . I’ve been a part of the creative and media production of this event for well over 2 decades now and it’s been getting smoother every year. @dteasternlines @darby__elizabeth and the rest of the crew become like family over the years and I’m honored and grateful to be a part of it! It’s always bittersweet when it ends as if in some weird twisted way I wish it was a week long not just three days. But I know Don and Darby most certainly would not want it to be a week long 🤣🤣 … But there’s not really any cooler things in my life I could call “work” like this event, and although a lot of the preliminary work on this event earlier in the year requires me to be in front of my computer, helping run the actual event sure beats sitting in my office chair! 😎
Also massive congrats to my Homie @murphsrh for taking his 3rd Legends win and I was also stoked to see @whereisrandal take out the Sr Men win and also to see @cassidymcclain become the 11x women’s champ! 🤙
last but not least thanks to Mez at @easternsurfmag for re-posting each of the three day wrap up stories I’ve been putting out and getting tons of eyeballs on our content and always supporting us! 🙏🤙

Good morning from day 1 of the Belmar Pro. We’re about to kick things off soon. Waves are currently waist high with some chest high sets southwest winds at the moment but it’s gonna switch hard south this afternoon which is OK cause we need to perpetuate this winds well. It’s forecasted to be hard south winds tomorrow 2 to 3 foot range and ending Sunday afternoon with 2 to 3 foot and clean. The weather is amazing with not a cloud in the sky and perfect beach day temperatures.
The beach stage with live music will be Saturday through Sunday, vendors will start setting up tents on the beach today, but the majority of them will be most active through the weekend. Don’t forget the after parties at @10thaveburrito tonight and then @joessurfshack tomorrow night.
Belmar Pro merch will be available at the big Pacifico tent when you get on the beach at 16th Ave today through the weekend.
Heat draws and schedules are posted on the website along with a live scoring link.

Grateful to be included in @that_kook’s bucket list tour of SoCal. Rick has been a pillar of the East Coast surf scene for decades—running events for the ESA, Atlantic Surfing Federation, the Unsound Pro, and his assistance launching Surfing America Prime on the East Coast was critical to it’s success. He’s always gone above and beyond, not for recognition, but for the love of surfing and to help young surfers chase their dreams.

In the surfing world there are a lot of takers, Rick has always been a giver. I’ve truly valued the countless hours we’ve spent together—on the beach and on the road—helping grow the sport we both love.

Dad put in his new truck and drove me to SC. Twelve hours stuck in there and he was surprised that I ran around grandma’s house when we got here. I’ve calmed down some. I think I will like it here.
