HOLY COW this year I’m proud to say that this semester I’ve been awarded for my dialogue editing for @oscurofilm and that I’ve been awarded - for the second year in a row for acting - in @sidebisidefilm !!

I’m always so very grateful for all of my friends here in the film community, each of you hold a special place in my life. Thank you to those who’ve helped me in my journey in getting to where I am now. This semester alone has been my busiest; I’ve been a part of 11 student productions, ranging from short cinematography projects to senior thesis films! Who knew staying so busy could be so much fun, I can’t wait to start this all over again next semester!!

This semester got to make FEUNG SCHWEY: THE ACT OF BEING A HERO! for Fiction Film Directing class. Wrote, Directed, Produced, and DP’d this project and honestly had such a blast!

Couldn’t have done it without this amazing cast and crew! Had a privilege working with all of you. BIG SHOUTOUT TO MY HERO @sjkjordan for being my Feung Schwey. Absolutely killed it and am so proud 🫶

We even got to show an early version of it at the Mason Film Festival! Was super cool but can’t wait to release the full version later!

May or may not post more BTS as the weeks go by mwhaha

Premiere weekend was a blast!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and “Transcendent Love” at the Mason Film Festival on Saturday. This film is my heart and my baby and I am so grateful to everyone who helped me make it, whether you were cast, crew, classmates, or just a supporter- it means the world to me that you wanted to help tell my story. And I am SO PROUD of my award-winning producer, actor, and film! We made such a beautiful thing that I truly believe is a small step towards changing the world. Even though the gays got a little snubbed at the awards, I’m so happy for everyone’s accomplishments this year and can’t wait to see what everyone does in the future after graduation.

Personally, I will be working on a director’s cut of the film that I will be taking to a screening in Richmond as well as film festivals across the country. Additionally, this summer I’m going to be working on my first FEATURE FILM that shoots in July! All in all, I am very excited for the future of Transcendent Love and I hope you all are too. 🏳️‍⚧️

Last night my senior thesis film, @noendingsfilm, premiered. Not only that, but it is now an award winning film. Winning the awards for best horror/thriller, excellence in acting for @rizzo2.0, and distinction in editing for the capstone of @nathanenjoyscinema.

Everyone in the cast and crew were incredible to work with. @that_oneactress as my producer was a blessing, the cinematography by @smalangyaon was perfect, and the score by @alex_ketch5 & sound design by @jsan.wav truly pushed this film to another level. Because of all of you, I'm now an award winning filmmaker and I couldn't be more grateful to this outstanding team.

More festival photos to come soon.

TAKE V🏆📈📈

This weekend I received 5 awards at the @filmgmu Showcase! Three for my work on my thesis film (Best of Fest, Audience Award, & Best Short Screenplay). And two for my undergraduate career: Academic Excellence (highest GPA of a student who spent all four years at @georgemasonu ) and Professional Achievement.

I’ve poured my heart and soul into these past four years at Mason and it’s been an exciting journey, going all the way back to @wjmc_mason . I’m grateful to have spent this time as a Patriot and a member of the Film at a Mason family. And it’s a privilege to be honored for my work these past four years 🤎

It was a joy to have one last hurrah with FAVS before I graduate, and to hear so many positive and compelling reactions to my film @whitemirrormovie
