POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Photo; Pete and Alan at the Ridgetek office. Ridgetek had just moved to the location of AS Design's very first office, and AS Design had moved into the building Ridgetek has just moved out of.

Context; Pete announced on Friday that after 12 years he is closing Ridgetek on 30th September. Pete and Alan have worked together in various guises since 2018 and AS Design has taken on all of Ridgetek's hosting, maintenance and support clients. A lot of familiar faces and we hope to look after them aswell as Pete did for so long.

It's ages since I've done any platform training and so yesterday, recording content for the @celebratedifferenceadhd support workers was a fun change!

I love Linkedin but realise so many founders still find it pretty daunting and get stuck with what content to post.

Hope the videos help!

Thanks to @thatalan.as and the gang for making this happen.

Today we are spending some time with the @thatalan.as team getting our website and client membership portal updated!

It's a calm and lovely space to have a meeting!

Kat's Stakeholder Sorcery book launch was unlike any launch event we've attended before. Rather than a traditional presentation, guests were immersed in an interactive experience that perfectly reflected the themes of the book.

From a purpose-built escape room and interactive challenges to thought-provoking discussions and hands-on activities, every element encouraged people to think differently, work together, and experience Kat's ideas in action.

We're proud to have supported the project from designing the books through to helping bring the launch event to life. It was fantastic to see months of planning come together in such a unique and memorable way.

It's 18 years this month since I stood at the Newcastle Green Festival testing out some ideas for my very first business!!

So, we're having an early summer market and celebration, with treats and a retail sale!

Which means we'll be opening on
Saturday 20th June... for all our customers who've been asking if we'd re-open on the Saturdays!!

Hope to see you there

Nic and the gang x

As someone who was never "the face" of my own business... which sounds crazy now... since working with other people who need to take credit for the work they do, I've found it increasingly important to collect professional shots for marketing.

Candid moments captured on phones are great, but there's nothing like having someone like @northeastprophotographer come to your events, your office, your home...

Here's me and @thatjosh.as pictured on Monday at @businessunmasked event hosted by @nicolaunleashed and @deathbysuzy - two other card-carrying advocates for decent marketing photos.

"ASDNE" was born as I was so sick of spelling out alan at as design north east dot co dot uk.

And it stuck. We use it all the time internally and clients started using it a while back too.

I've branded the business as asdesignuk, asdesignne, AS Design Web & Marketing, just AS and AS Design. ASDNE almost feels like AS DNA... and I like that.

What’s one thing that I absolutely love about my job?

It’s absolutely the people.

Networking, connecting with people, reconnecting with people, connecting people with each other, finding out about people, hearing their stories, hearing what’s going on in their lives, finding out about the things they need in their life and in their business.
And then it’s even more fabulous if I can help them in their business.

It’s something I have loved doing ever since I first went self-employed in 2017, and over those years I’ve worked with hundreds of people in business - whether employer, employee, owner, director or collaborator - and I absolutely bloody love it.

So it was absolutely lush today to go to the NatWest Business Accelerator and see loads of people I’ve met over the years that I haven’t seen for a while.

There were loads of familiar faces there today, hosted by @technicoloursuzy and @nicolaunleashed , and I feel extremely privileged that I get to call a lot of these people friends and that I got to catch up with so many of them today.

It is a network-packed week! Lots of networking, meeting new people, reconnecting with people I already know, catching up and finding out what’s going on for them. My very favourite things!

To be honest, this is absolutely why I’m so excited about the group coaching I’m putting together too, to start at the end of May/beginning of June.

Because often the magic happens when people are in a room together - like it did at Queens & Peacocks last Thursday, like it has done in different rooms that I’ve delivered over the years.

When people get together, something different happens.
It’s a very different energy to one-to-one coaching. And I’m very excited about doing it as well.

If it sounds like something you’d love to be part of, pop me a message or give me a heads up below.
