Land shaped by wind, time, and quiet persistence.
Contours rising and dissolving into light.
A solitary tree holding its place against the horizon.

In these landscapes by Roland Kraemer, form is not imposed — it emerges.

The earth becomes gesture.
The horizon becomes line.
The sky, a field of stillness.

There is a language here that feels familiar to us —
a vocabulary of restraint, of patience, of elemental presence.

Much like the objects we create,
these terrains remind us that what endures is not spectacle,
but balance.

Not excess, but clarity.

@thatbloom documents the impact of global warming and tourism on the Rhône Glacier. "To keep the glacier grotto safe from melting, white planes are placed on top of the glacier during the summer months. The whiteness / high Albedo of the planes helps in reflecting the sunlight back into the atmosphere and keeping the surface from melting even faster," he explains.
