A big part of my identity if not all was sports. From baseball, to basketball, to soccer and everything in between. This is a goodbye.

Sports changed my life. It allowed me to experience so much and interact with many different people. It truly shaped me into the man I am today, I’d be nothing without it. Thank you to every team, teammate, coach, and mentor that poured into me. I cherish all the memories that we’ve experienced together. I promise I’ll never forget.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sad and disappointed with the way I’m ending my career because it’s not on my terms. Part of it feels like wasted potential because I never lived up to expectations and goals that other people had for me and the ones I set for myself. I used to feel like a failure knowing that, even though I know I’m so much more than that. Who knew the peak of my career would be high school ¿

However, getting hurt and having surgery 3x throughout my collegiate career was the best thing that ever happened to me. It allowed me to find myself outside of sports and taught me that sports isn’t everything, and I can’t do it forever. I truly became more than an athlete and took advantage of every experience GT had to offer. So I’m forever grateful for that. Everything happens for a reason. God has a different purpose for me.

I graduated, I conquered. I even got out debt free before it turned into the business that it is today. (P.S. don’t hit that transfer portal unless you that n*gga. The grass is greener on YOUR side, trust me.). Keep exploiting the NCAA for what it is, and get every degree you can while you’re there. So cheers to a *somewhat* mediocre ending to my athletic career 🥂. Time to turn into a corporate warrior and to see what that life has to offer other than money.

Farewell,
-Your favorite washed athlete ;)
