“Ghosts are real. This much I know. The first time I saw one I was 10 years old. It was my mother’s. Black cholera had taken her. So Father ordered a closed casket, asked me not to look. There were to be no parting kisses. No goodbyes. No last words. That is, until the night she came back.” 🥀🕯️🪞🔮 Photography by the perfect @laphotographi.e Makeup by the divine @thatchinaglow All Costuming & Model by The Calico Queen #cospoonie #victorian #seance #halloween #victorianfashion [Victorian era fashion ballgown 18th century mourning gown spiritualism seance Halloween haunting ghost]

Vanessa Ives meets Guila Tofana; when your poor husband shuffles off this mortal coil and you have a few last things you need to say… 🍷 🪦 This Victorian spiritualism set was everything I needed and I had such a great time creating this masterpiece with two women I have the deepest love and respect for. It’s not October unless I’m in some kind of Victorian gown, and I’m glad I finally have a mourning (adjacent) piece to wear in all its drama. I have an event coming up I get to wear her again at and I cannot wait! 🥀🕯️🪞🔮 Photography by the perfect @laphotographi.e Makeup by the divine @thatchinaglow All Costuming & Model by The Calico Queen Silk from @silkbaron Base Wig from @posewigs Jet Necklace by @in.herbones Bangles by @sokorajewels Snood and Veils by @la_femme_en_noir_ #cospoonie #victorian #seance #halloween #victorianfashion [Victorian era fashion ballgown 18th century mourning gown spiritualism seance Halloween haunting ghost]

It’s my favorite month of the year and I have been WAITING to show off these amazing photos from @laphotographi.e! This was only a small part of our Lightscapes portion of the boudoir photoshoots we did and I’m over the moon at the classic campy Halloween burlesque vibes these had. And I’m saying it right now, behave in the comments; I am besties with the block button if someone comes to my page and spouts something cruel. Stephanie has single-handedly helped me find myself again and to be brave enough to celebrate myself in all my goth enby glory. There’s so much more I have to show off but today a little Final Girl Fantastique felt like the vibe. 🕸️🖤💋 Photos, Editing, and Hype Woman by @laphotographi.e Makeup Artistry by my beloved @thatchinaglow Nails by the Goddess Queen @nailedtothis Emotional Support by @thecalicojackson Wig by @posewigs #boudoir #halloween #finalgirl #laphotographie #goth

A little BTS from my session with the glorious, magnificent goddess that is @laphotographi.e yesterday. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough; not only is she a treasured friend but she is an amazing person whose heart and passion are nothing short of awe inspiring. I knew that I needed to debut this mourning gown (technically ballgown, the inspiration was Guila Tofana, oh no my rich husband had passed how tragic anyway…) I painstakingly made was with Stephanie behind the lens. And can we have a little commotion about the beat? The blend, the perfect lip color; @thatchinaglow is literal magic with her makeup artistry and I am forever inspired by her. I have no less than twenty selfies to document how gorgeous she made me look. And of course I’m wearing yards of the most luscious silk dupioni from @silkbaron because be real, no one does it like them. 🥀🕯️🪞🔮 So you can imagine how every single time I get to work with both these bad ass women is a dream come true and talk about a way to kick off the •best• time of year with a little Victorian Spiritualism. Living my best Vanessa Ives life let me tell you. #cospoonie #victorian #seance #halloween #victorianfashion [Victorian era fashion ballgown 18th century mourning gown spiritualism seance Halloween haunting ghost]

“Don’t you miss me?” “More than you know” “Then jump in the water and kiss me…” •🌊• There’s something about an overcast rainy day that makes one yearn to sing along a coast luring sailors to their watery graves. Just me? My fellow neurodivergent folx will understand when I say that I am in a bit of a joy hangover from an incredible emotional and lovely weekend. So I need a day or two to reset. And I have a lot of brand new WIP costumes, photoshoots, dance company, and theatre production news upcoming that means I will have downtime somewhere around… the last week of November? All good things but a lot and most I am climbing the walls looking forward to talking about. But until I can, I wanted to share this incredible photo that made me feel so otherworldly back in May with the goddess herself @laphotographi.e! Now if you excuse me, there’s something on the horizon I need to go catch. 🧜‍♀️🌊🦈🪸🪼 Photography & Hair Styling by the divine @laphotographi.e Makeup by @thatchinaglow Hair Color & Cut by @hairbyphilly802 Manta tail by @finfolkproductions Shark Weight Belt by @tiger_shark_mermaid Jewelry by @dames_a_la_mode Nails by the perfect @nailedtothis Merwrangler & Silicone top gifted by my love, @thecalicojackson #mermaid #siren #finfolk #ocean #podsquad

“Come, all you pretty fair maids, whoever you may be Who love a jolly sailor that ploughs the raging sea While up aloft in storm, from me his absence mourn And firmly pray arrive the day he’s never more to roam” In celebration of planning our next photo shoot and in desperate rage against this oppressive heat, it felt only fitting to share one of the gorgeous photos from @laphotographi.e! I cannot explain enough in words how magnificent of a human being and how talented of an artist Stephanie is. There are people that come into your life that you just know you were destined to meet and create with and that perfectly captures how I feel. The magic of the day proven with not one but two full rainbows that greeted us when we made it to the shore! I’ve so many beautiful pictures from this empowering day, but I wanted to start with the one that made literal tears come to my eyes when I saw the back of the camera. Thank you my friend for helping to make my siren dream come true! And I cannot •wait• until our next day together in August and what we have in store!! 🧜‍♀️🌊🦈🪸🪼 Photography & Hair Styling by the divine @laphotographi.e Makeup by @thatchinaglow Hair Color & Cut by @hairbyphilly802 Manta tail by @finfolkproductions Jewelry by @dames_a_la_mode Nails by the perfect @nailedtothis Merwrangler & Silicone top gifted by my love, @thecalicojackson #mermaid #siren #finfolk #ocean #podsquad
