Where is your favorite fish fry?

A fish fry usually happens during Lent, but @lb_fish_n_chicken located in the @1400foodlabcbus is available all year long. Pick it up or use your favorite delivery service.

The fresh, never-frozen ocean Perch, LB’s secret recipe, is hand-breaded and fried to perfection. Flaky and tender, this comfort food pairs really well with the old fashioned baked mac and cheese and the sweet bbq baked beans.

Wings can be breaded or naked with one of the wonderful sauces. I couldn’t stop eating the baked wings drenched in kickin’ bourbon & garlic parmesan sauces.

Don’t forget dessert! The southern sweet potato pie and the rich buttery lemon pound cake were a perfect ending to a delicious meal.

I can’t wait to go back and try the salmon.

Down to the “nitty gritty.”
.
You will here the term grit, and it will be one of those words, when you hear it, you nod with respect; and you feel it’s presence inside. It is a word that may not be used as often as it once was, but that’s ok, as it shouldn’t; it shouldn’t be tampered with, dumbed down, watered down, or patronized. Grit is an ol’ school word with a generation of history to back it. Some may even say it’s the hardcore backbone of success.
.
It is a word that holds value and it has a clear and definitive meaning, and of that meaning, so does it transcend to those who have it. We are built from, through, and by grit. It is more than inner strength, it is more than just character, it is engrained in how we execute, in regards to our lives. It becomes a unique core attribute to what we are, and who we are, and how we have come to be the person you know.
We are with conviction, with authority, determination, consistency, loyalty, honor. Each of these are aspects of grit; and these are but just a few of the traits we possess that comprise our grit.
.
Grit has often been regarded as stubbornness, or a relentless effort and inability to quit. It is having self accountably towards your efforts. To oppose the will of opposition, and impose will on adversity. It is engrained respect for yourself and how you accomplish what you have put out into the world. It is having your word, giving your word, and owning your word.
.
Grit is having a choice, making a choice, and understanding that choice has now become your bond, your decision. It is then standing by that decision, after you have made it, even when the path gets hard. It is seeing it through, to the very end. It is accomplishing the outcome of your decision, and doing all the things that must be done; all of them.
It is not just about the raw tenacity in you executing and completing, it is the fact you are of your word, and you remain loyal to it. Having grit is also being a benchmark to generations to come; so they too can learn, respect, and develop their grit.
.
“No moral man can ever have peace of mind if he leaves undone that which he knows should have been done.”
.

I look around and see all the scattered and shattered pieces that have fallen and broken away.
I’m sure many would suggest to pick up the pieces, put them back together, heal, and come back even stronger. That I am tough enough and strong enough to carry through, and I am willing to overcome this daunting situation.
The fact is, these pieces broke away because they were the weak parts of me. They were pieces of me that couldn’t survive, that couldn’t hang, that showed their inability to adapt to the pain and agony. These pieces are where they belong, broken, cracked, exposed, and on the floor.
These pieces can stay where they have fallen. They are now a part of the history, the past.
They however will be honored and remembered, as they will now become a part of my foundation. They are the stepping stones to build and strengthen, and improve upon. I will not pick up these pieces, as I will forge new pieces, and I will fit them into the fallen attributes places.
I will learn from my pain, I will take away experience from what I have felt, what I have lost, and what new opportunities now present to me.
I will, as I have so many times before, start again. I will not rebuild, but I will build. I will not come back, as this is a new start. And I am not going to return, I am just simply going to continue on; again.
-
I want to thank those of you for your care, kind words, support, and love. I truly appreciate all of you! I’m very grateful, and honored to have such incredible people in my life, by my side, and at my back. I have such love and respect for all of you!

It doesn’t matter if your work is defined by inches, minutes, or miles; work is work!
Do the fuckin work, and you will earn your success.
.
Work is about achievement, growth, experience, and progress. Without work, we have no method of consistency, no fuel for our determination, there will be no result of your goal; as you would have no path to it.
.
Work isn’t just about doin shit, it isn’t just about busting your ass for the hell of it. It is a mindset, an attitude, a belief.
Work can be done, and you can have nothing to show for it. This is just being in a state of “busy.” Make your work count; do the fuckin work and accomplish what that work represents.
.
Remember, the work is yours, it isn’t just a job, it’s not a requirement; it is a choice. Making the right choice to work for what you want, sets you on a course to fulfillment.

Stay strong my brothers.
.
Every man has his moments. Any man that says he has never cried, hurt, been in pain, or put his head in his hands and sobbed uncontrollably; is a man who’s dead inside.
.
We are in many ways the backbone to that which is our lives. We grow strong, carrying weight, physically and emotionally. We are the rocks that take the weathered beatings, that are kicked in the sand, we are what remains after all things go bad. We are a foundation, a support, we are the care and safety, protectors and guardians to all we love.
.
We are some of the most emotional beasts you may never know.
BECAUSE, we make every effort, to keep it together. To be the beacons of light, to be hope, to be examples, role models, the one that another looks up to.
.
But with this, comes our moment, where we become in need of this, that after we have exhausted ourselves to do what we do, we need a little in return.
Every man will bleed, we do not fear bleeding, our fear, is in no longer being able to bleed; where we become dry, emotionless, dead.
This is our moment where we say “brothers, I need help.”
Tears welling up, held back to long, and we cry, hard; we cry and we purge. This is our moment to let our brothers help us as we have helped them. It is a beautiful reciprocation of support, as brothers embrace, and they continue the balance of power.
.
They say that with great power comes great responsibility. It is true, having power is a responsibility, as we can use and abuse it, it can intern cause us to be abused. We become delusional, we have been too strong for too long, and we lose our ability to become vulnerable, and in that, we are in danger of bleeding out.
We must remind each other, support each other, care for each other, and at times remind each other of this moment and it’s need.
.
“Iron sharpens iron, and in turn so does one man sharpen another.”
.
I’m grateful for having seen this today and it being my reminder.🙏
To my brothas out there, thank you, and don’t forget about each other. 🤙

30 Days of Thankfulness (Day 18)
.
Today I am thankful for these; doors.
I’m thankful for all the doors slammed in my face, all the doors I could not open, and all the doors that were bared to my entry.
.
I am thankful to these doors because they have taught me how to cope, they have been the initiation of new directions, they have been the ends to new beginnings.
.
Every one of these doors lead me to another opportunity.
.
The fact is, when the door cannot be opened, it may be as simple as looking left, and seeing your door, your way of getting to where you belong.

There are things you will acquire in life.
There are things you will receive in life.
And then there are things you will earn in this life.
-
Right now I am earning my way to a new level. I am working my ass off to a new height. I am putting in effort to achieve a new measure of myself. A measure I have put myself against; not this world, not society, just me.
-
There are things we earn in this life; and we earn them through consistency.
-
Results are earned. The moment you start expecting results, is the moment they stop.

My thought of the day.
It isn’t always about being at the table, eating, and being in other peoples company.
Sometimes it is just about sitting at the table, alone, and not being scared.
It is with deep individuality that we are who we are; and fear not in being exactly that.
