What a year it’s been, I say it all the time, but I could not be more grateful for what this year has given me. In taking time today to reflect as I do every thanksgiving i’m in awe of how much my world has changed in what seems like such a short amount of time.

This year has taught me so many difficult lessons, ones that I honestly don’t know I would have ever pushed myself to learn. Grief is not something i’m unfamiliar with, but it is such a strange emotion. This year has been filled with so much grief, but also so much gratitude. Grief for the life I had planned for myself, grieving the family I envisioned, grieving lost relationships with friends and loved ones I never expected to see walk out of my life. But oh my god, the immense gratitude this year has given me for my world has been life changing. Gratitude for myself for the strength I was able to find to put the pieces of my world back together after it had been shattered. Most of all, truly unfathomable gratitude for my friends and family for the endless amounts of help and support, and for loving me and cheering me on, checking on me, and being there for me every step of the way. JULY was a month of connection for me. Five whole days of quality time with my entire family, which included big dinners, games, lots of time at the pool and so many special memories with my niece and nephew. Beach days and dinners with old friends and co-workers. Perfect summer pool days. Represented Team 10 to LIFE at the CHOC Walk. And of course…the start of Leo season! 🎉
